    Aqua Card - Halifax

Thank you for your recent email.

Unfortunately, I am unable to process an increase to your existing credit limit at this point in time as we require your account to be opened a minimum of 6 months before any attempts can be made to increase your existing credit limit.

If an increase was attempted at this point in time, it would automatically decline.

Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience that this may cause.

    Kind Regards

I haven't applied for anything. I was going to apply for Accessory Card, but scrapped that idea. All I did was ask for my credit limit on my aqua card to be raised to £500 from £250. They don't do credit searches to raise limits, it's all about how you have run your account with aqua, but I have to wait 2 more months before asking for an increase apparently.

I phoned HSBC today. Got through to India as it looks like my Plus 24/7 telephone banking hasn't been activated yet, as I phoned last night and it said ring back when they're open. I asked for a HSBC Plus Cheque Guarentee Card. After being put on hold for 5 minutes, the guy ordered me one. I then asked what my BS was and he said 38, so it's gone down from last month. Think it was 53 last month, but I did cancel all my direct debits, keep the account empty for 2 weeks (As was moving to Lloyds, but changed my mind).

Hoping next month it will go back up as all my direct debits have been put back to HSBC and sallary changed back to them as well.

My Vanquis card arrived this morning, £500 limit as predicted on here - had to call the 0870 activation number:

Vanquis: It'll take about 5 minutes to go through your options today, is that OK?

Me: not if it's an 0870 number, no.

    V: (paraphrasing) Tough!

So, all the "vital" stuff she needed to do was her basically trying to flog their "repayment plan" and iid theft protection. I politely declined both.

More importantly, the sticker on the card itself has left an awful gooey mess on the card when I peeled it off

Out with the nail-varnish remover

(oh, and it's the abacus design btw)
Halifax Ultimate Reward - £500 OD limit
    Halifax CC - £4900 limit
Capital One Classic - £500 limit
    Orange Phone - £20pcm
    Jacamo - £900 limit
    Vanquis - £1250 limit
