Unfortunately, it's mostly computerized (then underwriter), therefore the computer doesn't see it as someone who doesn't understand how it works, rather someone who is desperate for credit.

Saying that, I applied for both CapitalOne, Vanquis and Aqua all within a week. Got declined for CapitalOne, but accepted for Vanquis and Aqua at £250/35%.

she will be disappointed but she's done without a credit card for these many years.
hopefully cap one will look kindly on her.

i havent been on this forum for quite sometime it used to be such a busy thread

I wouldn't worry about it as they sent me a CCA back in October, I still haven't sent mine back and I'm still having credit limit increases.
