I've just taken my friend through the process of apllying for a credit card her first
it was capital one and the starter credit card whatever its called.

I assumed she would get an instant yes or no but no they need to look at her application

how hard is it to get the capital one cc ? most of my cc applications have been straighforward are they being more stringent now with the credit crunch.

Littlewoods sent me a credit agreement with my first statement. I still haven't sent it back yet. Hope they don't limit my account or freeze it until I send it back as I got it a few weeks ago and keep forgetting to pop it in the letterbox.

    I think i might know why !

she's just phoned me and said that earlier today she applied for three other cards she told me that was her first hmmm

all the others were the same they are looking at the application.

I didn't have the courage to tell her that the number of credit card applications can affect the descion how soon are they updated ? is it instantly ? i told her to wait and not to apply for any more.

Instantly. Applying for four credit cards in the space of 1 week is definitely not going to do her credit report any good. Tell her to ease off the searches for now.

it was less it was within a day

i've told her to wait to see what they decide.

hopefully they will see it as someone not understanding how it works
