    I phoned 2 days after my application and they said it had been received but no decision was yet made, then I called back about a week later as I coudnt bear waiting and the lady told me I'd been accepted, so best of luck for your OH!

    Received a letter from Barclays today saying

    ''Thank you for applying for an account, unfortunately we cannot agree to this request as we don't usually issue Barclayloan on a holiday of less than 12 months''

    or something like that. I never applied for a barclayloan.... what are these people on... received my debit card though.

    I received the same letter when I applied for a Barclays account a few months ago. I didn't apply for a loan and certainly not for a holiday!
