Think mystery solved. Managed to get on using my iPhone when not connected to my wifi (incidentally I tried that yesterday and it didn't work)

I think they've changed hosting or servers or something recently and the DNS info is yet to spread throughout the internet hence why some people can get on when I couldn't (guessing neither of you two are on O2 home broadband)

I'm on o2 Broadband - there DNS servers are shocking - I use OpenDNS which is free.

    Hi guys,

Good news today, called Capital One after my Vanquis application was refused at the weekend, and guess what, I have been accepted!!

My credit agreement is winging its way to me in the post apparently. £500.00 provisional limit which will increase on my 4th statement as long as I stay within the credit limit. Was so excited forgot to ask about the APR but will update you all when it comes through.

    What a day, woo hoo!

    Congrats

Ok now that gets odder again as I did try through my wifi on my iPhone with the iPhone set to use open DNS and that didn't work.

I use openDNS for my PS3 as it solved PSN problems a few weeks ago but otherwise use the normal DNS normally

I know o2 had issues with certain IP Address ranges - could this be the issue?

Applied for a Barclays loan on Monday wanted 4k but got the decline letter today!

So rang to ask on what grounds did i get turned down on, she said it was the internel credit search that i failed and the major factor was only being a customer for 3 months.

She said apply again in 6 months and i should get accepted if i keep running my account like i have been, she said i should apply for a credit card as she thought i would get accepted for that!

So i applied online and got accepted for the Barclays initial.
