Barclays are fools. They searched me for a second time today as the missing application I made has finally gone through. They have only opened one account though, so one search was for nothing. On phone getting it removed now.

Edit - They're removing one search. Ironically, the application that went through today was declined. :rotfl:

Still, got the account details now, pin came today and card should be here this week. :)

I have had a couple of searches for 'money laundering' appear on my Experian file today from a company I applied too last month . At the time of my application they searched Equifax and then did a 'money laundering' search with Experian (5 weeks ago) . Is this usual to do so many searches? and when a company perform a 'Money laundering' search - do they see all of my credit file?

I don't really think it's that. I think it was declined because I had an application 2 days before that, that was successful. It must have just been flagged as a duplicate and then declined.

When I went in branch, the guy took my details, did a credit check and said this is what you're eligble for, with your income and credit search. I was accepted for everything including their very expensive accounts. I just chose the normal bank account for now.

yerrrr baby and I sent special delivery Friday! hehe - can;t wait to see what they say! I have proof of where they have emailed a contact from vodafone asking about my wifes account and PASSWORDS etc! The email reply enclosed this with passwords and they pretty much had a full scale conversation about me/her and the linked address trying to match numbers which was impossible cos it wasn't us! grrrrr

Also, they wrote to innocent with my details - lol, how ironic is that - he got a letter addressed to me with his SAR! hahaha

and finally, the best one, they emailed my bank HSBC asking for a copy of any ID they have about me and HSBC sent a copy of my passport - ermmm, how many laws have they broken between then one wonders? My solicitor says over 13 in total and Equifax are resposible for instigating the breaches of DPA but the specific lenders should also be done - lol.

He suggests the costs to sue them all will be in region of £100k and if I win i'll get them costs awared.

What did he mean IF I win? lol....

Flippin 'eck NID, good on you :T! Can't believe the cavalier attitude they have toward DPA and basic security

You've got a brass pair, i'll give you that :D.

I'll be following this with interest. Good luck .

Hey Doshy how are you? (You don't mind me calling you Doshy do you? :D)

Happy to say i eventually got the GU account. The mix-up was down to them having the previous house-owners details still on file . Anyway, i now have a £100 limit, but i'm still deciding what to order though .

Hope you're enjoying the weather :T
