A third party supplier to RBS. They do regular checks but ive always managed to get out of it. Just got to get through the next 12 months!

hi i am an ex employee of rbs i know that u have securty checks 2 times a year i worked for them for 10 years they only check for recent ccj dmp iva bancruptcy they do not check defaults as they are not allowed to justify a default after origanal check from employment so if you passed origanal credit check of employment they can only search for ccj ext not defaults as defaults cannot be justified as they can be a dispute were as ccj has been justified as its been processed through court and they look at severe financial difficulty i e iva bankruptcy ext

so i wouldnt panic too much as i had several defaults and still passed checks and i only left voluntry last year

This account has not been settled nor defaulted so will remain on your file six yesrs from settled/defaulted whenever/if that happens. However if the lender is updating monthly then after 36 months the 'worst status' will eventually clear of your files with Experian and 60 months with Equifax and Callcredit.

Does the lender update monthly and record payment status?

Every months it is updated with a 5. Never any different. Very Strange as unless I pay it, it wont go away unless I do a statue barred as in Scotland

The debt becomes statue barred after six years so providing you havn't contacted the lender/admitted liability since Nov 2003 the account legally has to be removed from your files Nov this year.

I'm in Scotland so only need to wait 5 years. Would I write a letter to o2 asking them to remove this then?

I also live in Scotland and have learned something new today wasn't aware 5 years in Scotland!

Yes write a letter to 02 demanding they remove all entries from your files as long as you have contacted them in the last five years they have to remove the information.

I read on here it was 5 years for Scotland and 6 for England for Statue Barred (can anyone confirm?)

So on that note. Most of my old debts are from 2003-2004, never contacted the lenders so would I be able to demand them all to remove adverse data from my credit files? Surley that would mean not having to wait the CRA's 6 years rule, if I have never contacted lenders.

    Can this be right?
