My DirectDebit bounced for eBay fees as it tried taking it from my HSBC Account instead of my new Lloyds TSB account. I manually canceled all the direct debits on HSBC.

I just checked my eBay fees and they charged me £5 for a bounced direct debit. I'm one of their ebay star members (which basically means i can call them on an invitation only number if i want anything), I phoned them and got through to india.... the guy said yes the charge is for a bounced direct debit. I asked if it could be refunded as I was switching banks and got confused which direct debits where coming out of which bank. He said he cannot refund it, but he'll give me a £20 voucher to use when I buy something next from eBay.... I was like... ok! He said it'll be posted to my eBay account within 7 days.

Not entirely sure how that works, but I'll wait and see what happens. Going to pay off all my eBay fees (£10) with my capone card now.

They can give you one after 6mth of having account with them.... same rules as 1st Direct, no reapplying in 6mth period.

I got HSBC Plus in Dec and o/d added in Feb as they forgot to add it lol

I had Plus for 2 months, then changed back to C/A Advance because couldn't justify the £13 fee for something I didn't use.

Still got C/A Advance, but switched to C/A Silver with Lloyds. £4 a month for first two months then £8 afterwards, plus I get phone insurance which is what I mainly wanted.

Lloyds wont give me an overdraft for 3 months. :(
