I also tried those skewers, thinking they were very cheap, but all 6 of mine went through at 50p!!!

Never mind, can't complain at that price.:p

Got overcharged on two Smoky chilli sauces on offer at 80p but scanned £1 49 because I used the self scan tills I was told no DTD is that right.

Was reading on the coupons thread that the £9 meal deal at Tesco works if you get 2 mains, instead of a side dish. Anyone on here tried it? Wondered if it was only with certain mains or all?

Thanks to Thrifty Sister over there:

Appears to work on any 2 mains + any dessert + any wine (Those that are in the Meal Deal section!). I can recommend the Chicken Kiev and the steak pies . I sued the self scan as I didn't want any eagle eyed CA having a funny turn!

[Add to this a general Grrr, after 3 weeks away, when I found Creamfields 3 litre milk up from £1 > £1.25 and bakery boy telling me they now charge for yeast!......]

Yeah, bit of a hike, isn't it? In Sainsbury's their equivalent is on 2 for £2 at the mo.

Suing the self scan is the last thing you want to do if you wish to escape the wrath of eagle eyed CA.

This one comes second-hand from a dear couple who were ignorant of DTD policy, but are going to pursue it on their Thursday visit.
Mature Cathedral City Cheddar, packed @ £1, prev. £3.89. This was on Sunday.
CS gave the difference only, as 'a special gesture', since the Promo was over the day before.
I have explained this is immaterial and they now have HO Freephone number. In this case, their receipt of initial refund will help, rather than hinder, their cause, as it acknowledges the overcharge.
I intend to ensure they have that £5.78 refund in full.
    Will advise progress.
