Just got a nice DTD on these - BOGOF not working (in date).

Can't find them on the Tesco website, but the offer is here on mySupermarket:

    http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/tesco-price-comparison/Tinned_Tomatoes_Puree_And_Passata/Heinz_Chopped_Tomatoes_in_Tomato_Juice_4x400g.html

The packaging is different on the ones I got though (shrinkwrapped, bar code 8715700073156) so maybe the offer is on a different barcode?

Hope someone else gets lucky too!

10/5: Edit: I've seen the signs today for the new offer of 2 for £3, which is a good deal but not as good as the free ones I got yesterday (just wish I had got more!)

Sortakinda relevant point of information - noticed on big blue Promise board yesterday that a white printed triangle has been applied to bottom right corner, with words to the effect that returned goods can/will have points deducted....it'll be a sad little points total for me if this comes to pass.

[Add to this a general Grrr, after 3 weeks away, when I found Creamfields 3 litre milk up from £1 > £1.25 and bakery boy telling me they now charge for yeast!......]

I have just purchased a bag of these potatoes at Warrington Tesco Extra.
The clear and large SEL stated £1 (bargain!), but I was charged £4.49 at the checkout.
Lovely DTD from customer services of £6.98.
They have now removed the SEL at this store, but it might be worth checking others out!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Tesco value strawberry jelly SEL 6p, charged 7p.

Couldn't be bothered about a 2p DTD but didn't know if there were any jelly fans out there wanting to take advantage :rotfl:

I was wondering if anyone could put me right please. I was in Tesco a couple of days ago and there was an error on their lunch meal deal thing where everything went through at full price rather than all for £2. I pointed this out at CS and they said they would give me back the difference - when i queried this as I thought it should be DTD they said they had stopped doing DTD a couple of weeks ago - is this right? Many thanks

Just to update you - I emailed Terry Leahy yesterday and had a response from his office today. They have spoken to the branch in question and aer sending me a £10 Tesco VOucher as an apology.

Thanks for everyone's help and input.

Did anyone manage to get the John West Red Salmon 418gms at the weekend. When we went shopping on Saturday evening they had huge banners up saying Tuna, Salmon and a couple of other things were half price, but the Salmon was marked at £3.00 reduced from something like £3.79.
It went through at £3.00, so we took it to Customer Services, who quickly got the manager and removed all the large banners and signs. Got back DTD on what we had bought. Sent people to 3 other store but all the banners and prices had been taken down, so It looks like they were all notified immediately

Got a DTD on olive oil which was mistakenly scanned 3x the most expensive one I was buying, rather than BOGOF + 1 less expensive variety. Was offered the difference until I pointed out it was an overcharge, I half expected the 'human error' argument but was pleasantly surprised when she immediately offered DTD. :) Always worth asking.

Just in from Mr T with free meat:
My eye was caught in chiller aisle by normal b/w SEL for 10 Lamb and Beef Skewers[500gms],no artificial nasties @ 50p. Thought this was mega cheap all ends up and tried to reach one. Couldn't, so a lady manager climbed up and brought down all five packs for me.
Went through at £1, so £5 DTD.
[Also loads of wonderful reductions ce soir, so have just done a lovely drop off to friend in next village.] BBD10 July.

Suspect it's just the wording which is unattractive. 'Skewer'/'reformed meat' are not mellifluous in tone or mind, but these are normal koftas and - now having 'taster' reports - delicious and well-made.
