Yesterday I bought some Oatibix which were displayed on special offer at £2 but scanned at £2.26. When I went to customer services the woman only gave me 26p back. When I asked about DTD she said that I should have mentioned it at the beginning! I don't think it is my job to point out Tesco policy!

Keep the HO Freephone no. in your mob. for all such occasions, or ask CS for theirs - 0800.505555.
As mncollyer says, a new excuse. What a nerve!
DO pursue this please - HO should stamp on such practice and I suspect you'll do better than receive 52p in return.
    Let us know.

Love it when people forget to factoring their original payment when getting DTD and think they've got something for free! We've all done it:D

Punnets of fruit - blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, the blueberries were mentioned on the SEL at ANY 2 for £3 but it didn't say how many grams of blueberries.... I asked two sale assistants and both said it was fine to take the 225g blueberries which were the only ones out (they looked around a bit first). Went through at £1.98 each, no deal, CS gave £2 DTD (and a couple of pence more!) back... and seemed too frustrated to go and even check and didn't seem too bothered about changing the price.

So two punnets of fresh fruit for £1 :)

Originally the blueberries were £3.99 per punnet!!

If they got DTD then they would have received 80p back, so 60p original spend and 80p back is free sweets and 20p
to afroscot (If I am correct?)

OH came home last night with a small haul of shoulder of pork joints. SEL said half price £2.49/kg but packs priced at £4.99/kg.

This little piggy went to market....this little piggy stayed at home....this little piggy had roast beef....and this little piggy had none....and THIS little piggy went weeeee weeee weeeeee all the way into my freezer :D
  • Went into my local Extra last night to pick up some picnic bowls and plates that were advertised in the booklet that came with the last lot of points vouchers - they were advertised as 'a set of 4 for £1'.

Went to the checkout with 2 sets and was charged £16 total - was expecting to pay £2!!

(I think they've got the wrong pic in the booklet and the ones that are 4 for a £1 are the cheaper, plain ones. The ones I got are a melamine kind of thing, bright pink with a pattern on them.)

Unfortunately, I didn't get double the difference as CS said that the price on the shelf was correct. It was late and I was tired and couldn't be bothered to argue! But nevertheless quite chuffed with getting some nice picnic stuff very cheap!! :j
