This happened some time ago with toothpaste . The leaflet showed a much more expensive brand which wasn't on offer . We all got lots of DTD .

It happened twice with a Colgate's offer. I remember posting it both times...yes indeed, wirehair, we all did well.:T
At present, I'm doing the Thai Kitchen green curry paste @ £1.79, 50 extra pts. There's red available, too, and red and green Thai Kitchen meal kits at £2.29, again for 50pts extra, but this is not a clear 'profit' as the paste is, against £2 potential in Deals.
    All expire 6 June.

Bought 4 sml plates & 4 sml bowls went through at £16 used the £2 coupon in brochure. Went to cs with the booklet showing offer had terms and conditions on first page of booklet quoting a reason for varying prices and the promo not being on offer there, mentioned it says available instore and not selected stores stood our ground finally after several cs input decided for good customer service they would honour the price so with the coupon actually free. Felt sorry for other customers as we were there about half hour and quite a que had built up.

Went into my local Extra last night to pick up some picnic bowls and plates that were advertised in the booklet that came with the last lot of points vouchers - they were advertised as 'a set of 4 for £1'.

Went to the checkout with 2 sets and was charged £16 total - was expecting to pay £2!!

(I think they've got the wrong pic in the booklet and the ones that are 4 for a £1 are the cheaper, plain ones. The ones I got are a melamine kind of thing, bright pink with a pattern on them.)

Unfortunately, I didn't get double the difference as CS said that the price on the shelf was correct. It was late and I was tired and couldn't be bothered to argue! But nevertheless quite chuffed with getting some nice picnic stuff very cheap!! :j

    Hx

I went off to my local store, who were having none of it this morning.

Showed them the book and the CS insisted it was an on-line offer only.

The CS was quite ride to be honest and even after asking to speak to a Manager, who also stood her ground I came away feeling quite battered.

Still you win some and you lose some.

I managed to get my money back and make £2 in the process as I'd put the £2 off when you spend £10 on picnic stuff, which was on the same page. So £2 off the shopping is still a result.

I wanted the plates and bowls though, so I was a bit sad. :(:(

Might try our other local store on Monday.....
