I bought a reduced item wich was stickered £1.95, but I was charged £2.99. I went to CS with my receipt to get the difference back. I asked if i qualified for double the diffrence back but the girl said no it only applied to prices on shelves. is this right? I'd like to know for next time, as this happens to me regularly in Tescos.:mad:0

The Blue Board clearly says "on the shelf or on the product" so they fobbed you off. One CSA once told me that a wine barker (the things that hang down sticking out from the wine shelves) didn't count as it wasn't either on the shelf or on the product........"Life was easier when I didn't have a clue"0 -
Oh my god!!!!
Who is stupid enough not to be able to work out what double the difference is?
The big blue board is there... read it. how long do we need to keep repeating the same thing for???
If you get charged more than the advertised amount then you get back double the difference. If it doesn't happen then kick up a fuss and point to the blue sign. It's not rocket science.Hating Hastings Direct!0 -

seriously.. it's written everywhere.
"DTD" is double the difference... you get "DTD if you are charged more than the advertised price"... every other post is some pillock saying "so should I have got double the difference if I got charged 2p more than the advertised price for my lubricant.... would that have been 9p refunded?"
it's just frustrating when you get idiot after idiot who fail to understand the simplicity of such a rule. How do these guys get dressed in the morning?!Hating Hastings Direct!0 -

a little harsh I think.
Some people here are confident to stand their ground with CS and SA when confronting Tesco's policies, whilst other's need a bit more reassurance before they do so.
Yes, the policy is plastered all over the 'blue board', but from experience each SA has their own take on it. I don't see anything wrong with being doubly sure they're in the right before they ask for DTD back.Comping wins
