I got the BT 1500 single phone tonight OOD label £34.2x was charged £68.4x.When I went to customer service and pointed out the board saying DTD they told me DTD did not apply with OOD labels. They said they could either give it to me for £34.2x or my money back , I refused . I took the phone at £68.4x and now have to phone customer services today . Any hints or tips on how to deal with this.
Thanks in advance.Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
Hi,
I had same issue once, please see below:

Went to Mr Ts today and bought all in one printer which had a SEL for £50 off.At the till I was charged the full price of £150 so off I marched to CS to sort the overcharge.
CS lady told me that she would honour the £50 off as the SEL had an expire date 09/09/08.
I mentioned to the CS lady that the policy for overcharge was DTD but she said the SEL was out of date and therefore they dont have to DTD.
Not happy with this I asked to speak to the duty Manager who also told me the same story adding it was the stores discression as to whether the pay DTD.
At this point the Manager refunded the overpayment and I asked for the head office number to give them a call.
After giving the head office and explaining the situation the very helpful man told me he would look into the situation and call me back as soon as he had any information.Still waiting but need to know what my position is because as I see it the have allready admitted an over charge by refunding the £50,
please help
Just an update as to the situation.Spoke to HO again and a very nice lady called Doreen dealt with my case. After explaining the whole issue she contacted the store involved and informed them to to honour DTD and to introduce training to the staff so this never happens again.
So after a few phone calls and very helpful staff at HO I now have this issue sorted:j0 -

If this happens again try and take a photo of the OOD SEL with your mobile camera. Otherwise it is easy for the store to deny all knowledge the the item was infact labelled incorrectly. Always ask to use their phone to call customer services while you are in the store this way the staff cannot try and squirm their way out and 9/10 times Dundee customer service will tell them to honour as the wording on the board reads " if we charge you more than the price shown we will refund you double the difference ". Therefore no mention of OOD SEL being excluded0 -

when i was there the non food manager tried getting me to come back cos she knew i was in a rush to get the kids from skool i insisted on sorting it out there and then even though it made me half an hr late to pick the kids up lol they said exactly the same to me that i cud have it for half price or my money back but i refused...got on the phone to customer services on their phone i might add lol and then after 45mins arguing with the manager and cs finally got dtd...in ur case i would def ask to speak to cs manager and insist that the store got theyre policy wrong and you want the money you were entitled to back...they will prob go back and speak to the store you went to ..and hopefully come back to you with the dtd good luck0 -
Thanks to Voucher Man who directed me here - just cutting and pasting my own post from yesterday.

This one has come up twice in diff. Mr T's for me on Friday and yesterday.
In lingerie, various frilly knicks[loads of choice, some really sassy and pretty ones] have '3for2' stickers. Neither txn has worked, making DTD £4 on £6 spend(or £3 if you're forfeiting 4XDeals Value with Vouchers on Double Up instead. I've done a couple of low value intended spends this way, but don't intend taking eye off ball for bigger 4X prizes).
Simply, means 3 prs for £2, but haven't been able to discern which bar code in either txn is the one which triggers the misprice.

I've had 6 different pairs, so 6 barcodes - could be any one which is the happy culprit.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

With regard to the policy, my local store doesn't seem to show it anywhere. Not sure if it matters but it does seem like it might be a hassle when you do go to the CS with anything. Is there a copy on the website?:jMini Coops arrived 2011:j0

Big thanks to Ampersand for this.
Tried it yesterday and the 3 for 2 didn't kick in as predicted.
Including DtD and 20% off clothing, I paid 80p for 3 pairs of nice pants. :T
OH very happy:rotfl:Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

But just to note, the Canary Wharf staff really don't have a clue about Tescos policy on this IMO!
From my experience when I used to work up near canary wharf and used that store, the staff havent got a clue about most things!
If you are in the area, pop over to the Extra Store at Beckton (not too far if you drive round past city airport), that has always yielded good results for me as far as DTD and in the good old days of R&R I relieved them of a good £300 worth or so of games in one day (Popped in once in the morning, once in the afternoon and again later that night!):rotfl:Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

a P.S. - you were lucky to have the 20% too, as it excludes nightwear underwear & accessories according my email.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:
