Also spotted San Miguel 660ml bottles in 3 stores on out of date label 2 for £3.00 or £1.86 each.. I did leave them as I couldn't be certain if the offer had been carried forward or not.. Checking online there's no offer showing on them so after dtd of £1.44 on 2 bottles they'd cost £2.28 for 2..
This one is NOT a DTD.
I bought four bottles of San Miguel today, SEL showed an expiry of 09/09/08 but the discount still came off came off. There were a few other beer and cider offers with out of date SEL's - Gaymers or Bulmers (I can't remember which) Original Cider was another one. Be careful with these.Debt free since December 2015. It can be done0 -
Got my first ever DTD difference today - am thrilled! Special offer - 3 packets of 6 tiger bread baps for £1, went through as 2 for £1,paid .59p for the other, ended up with a refund of £1.18. A small one I know but I was pleased! That was the Holyhead store. Hope this is the first of many!0

It's definitely not illegal. You're simply taking advantage of their advertised policy on overcharging.
The only illegality is committed by Tesco - it's a serious criminal offence under the Consumer Protection Act 1987 for a trader to give a consumer misleading price indications.
Nice disguise mate..was it a DtD..no...i bet u it was an RnR......oops ...no chit chat...slap on wrist...Couponing....."every little hurts"

Hi sorry if this is in the wrong place but I need some advice.
Went to Mr Ts today and bought all in one printer which had a SEL for £50 off.At the till I was charged the full price of £150 so off I marched to CS to sort the overcharge.
CS lady told me that she would honour the £50 off as the SEL had an expire date 09/09/08.
I mentioned to the CS lady that the policy for overcharge was DTD but she said the SEL was out of date and therefore they dont have to DTD.
Not happy with this I asked to speak to the duty Manager who also told me the same story adding it was the stores discression as to whether the pay DTD.
At this point the Manager refunded the overpayment and I asked for the head office number to give them a call.
After giving the head office and explaining the situation the very helpful man told me he would look into the situation and call me back as soon as he had any information.Still waiting but need to know what my position is because as I see it the have allready admitted an over charge by refunding the £50,
please help0 -

As with everything Tesco, there's no consistency.....In my experience, you have to "win" OOD's in store and HO generally side with the store. The only time I've got them to back down on that was in store, phoning HO from the CS desk and "forgetting" to mention to the HO person that the SEL was OOD. Mind you, CS had told me that the blue board was OOD by that point, too.
Good luck anyway, What was the printer model?"Life was easier when I didn't have a clue"0 -
Hi,
the model is HP C62800 -
i too will not leave the store without calling cs, just keep sticking to your guns and mentioning the dtd over being charged too much. if they do not call back you call again, good luckA happy wife, and mum to 2 lovely little boys :j0

Getting Tesco to honour their DTD policy definitely seems to be getting tougher.
Oddly enough, my local Tesco has removed almost all of their SEL's for their DVDs - so it's no longer possible to compare the sticker price with the SEL to spot likely overcharges.
Though this does mean that all of their unstickered stock (probably ~40% of it!) is completely unpriced!! Seems like madness to me!0
