no idea what "dtd" or "golden" or marking receipts means!!! lol
Anyway was in Tesco, Lincs, today and noticed treacle/lemon puddings at £1.24 (half price). However, there was a second sign stating BOGOF.
We were charged £1.24 twice.
When we went to custome sevices we kept the 2 x puds, got £2.48 refunded which she wrote on the receipt.
Yes your puddings were £1.24 bogof = 62p each,,,they charged you £1.24 each...Tesco policy is to give you DtD(Double the Difference) back, as its their fault...so you were charged 62p more for each x 2 = £1.24 x DtD = £2.48
A "Golden" DtD is where the receipt hasnt been marked with either "Refund" or anything that would let anyone know u have been compensated....and in my case above, I took the straighteners back to another store with the "unmarked receipt" and was given a full refund of £44.97Couponing....."every little hurts"

Definately agree, but in the store today, she didnt remove any sels, didnt even realise it was out of date, didnt mention anything...just refunded me £44.98.....If the store wasnt a 60mile round trip, and even knowing she finished at 6pm...i was tempted to go back for more.....but didnt....
All of the hair electrics had ood sels on them, but this one was the only freebie....Couponing....."every little hurts"

It's a bit like waiting for buses. Read forums regularly and check a range of stores. The first DTDs are quite nervewracking but you get used to it. There are certain areas that all stores are weaker on generally (always pop by the deli) and some stores have their own special failings.Blitzkreig Bob says Hi to those checking his validity!0 -

I was charged twice for something I only got one of so I intend on going back with the receipt tomorrow... does that also qualify for dtd?TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0 -

yes, but if you come across a moody cs they may suggest that you had two of the item. If it was only a pound or so and you are planning on bigger DTDs I'd let it go.Blitzkreig Bob says Hi to those checking his validity!0 -
Thanks. It was weighed items so I think I'll be ok on that score.TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

I love the idea of taking stuff for free or getting paid for taking it using DTD, could you just explain to me if it is actually illegal? I have a vague memory of "obtaining goods by deception" but might have totally made it upGod is good, all the time
Do something that scares you every day
