Back to misprices:
I noticed today that many of the Tesco printer cartridges in my local still have special offer SEL from JULY!!! I appreciate this may only be my local store oversight but may be worth checking as they seem to get missed when taking down out of date SEL. Some were on offer for £8 instead of £12 so with DD get £8 back and keep printer for £12 outlay.Unfortunetley not the right cartridge for my printer so did not attempt DD but if this is happening in your store and cartridge is suitable may be worth doing.
Sorry if this constitutes chat but there is a mis price undertone0 -
I was charged twice for something I only got one of so I intend on going back with the receipt tomorrow... does that also qualify for dtd?paul.carter wrote: »yes, but if you come across a moody cs they may suggest that you had two of the item. If it was only a pound or so and you are planning on bigger DTDs I'd let it go.
Sorry Paul, but I disagree. You have not been overcharged for the item, just a double scan. Legally it is just a refund. I agree that they could say you got two and are pulling a fast one - best to go straight to CS at the time of purchase (if spotted) - but as it is weighed goods you have a good chance of persuading them that it would be impossible to exactly weigh 1.23kg of grapes, especially as there are not usually digital scales on the isles.I miss too many pages due to work so if you need an answer from me, please send me a PM.

just had a browse at tesco over road from me.
found couple wii games with £20 stickers on them and sel's of £8 & £12 so i thought awesome jackpot.
i took both the games to the self scanner but they both came up the sel price, i then took to a till to get price check and they both came up sel.
so there was nothing i could dowas hoping for my first dtd.
i also checked out the alcohol section, there was bottle of wine expired half price sel from 9/9 i took that to the self scanner but it was still coming up on the offer.
so nothing
at least i tried0 -

You're right... I only got a refund.TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0 -
Box of Pampers Easy up Pants Junior x 52.. Out of date label 10/09.. £7.98 scanned at £11.98..
Pampers Easy Up Junior x 20.. Out of date label 10/09.. £3.90 scanned at £5.85..
Also spotted San Miguel 660ml bottles in 3 stores on out of date label 2 for £3.00 or £1.86 each.. I did leave them as I couldn't be certain if the offer had been carried forward or not.. Checking online there's no offer showing on them so after dtd of £1.44 on 2 bottles they'd cost £2.28 for 2..
I was on the hunt for stella that were £19.97 or 2 for £20.. Offer finished yesterday.. But no luck.. Would have been a nice dtd.. Until the morning after..:D0 -

When the new policy came in it was specifically stated in guidance to stores that 'mis-scans' should receieve DTD - and certainly the stores I have used have always adhered to this. One the one occassion a non-local store didn't, head office confirmed that double scanned items should receive DTD as it is still an overcharge.

Milliesmum wrote: »Found Danepak bacon at £2.80 BOGOF this morning. Yellow shelf label said BOGOF, and packs were pre-printed BOGOF. Expiry on yellow label said yesterday.
I bought 2 to begin with to see if it would scan at BOGOF or at single pack price - I was charged for both packs.
So it was straight to the car with the 1st 2, then back into the store to pick up a further 10 packs for the freezer.
Since I was charged for all 12 packs, I went to Customer Services to claim my DTD. The CS lady was v pleasant and had a "well done you" attitude, and a smile. However, the manager in charge of the bacon/chilled Dept had a face like thunder, and was NOT happy about having to refund over £33 !
He did say, though "I could withdraw them all from sale, but I won't".
Needless to say, when I went back in to the store later on, all the remaining packs had gone !!
This DTD has been corrected, they're now £2.79 each and the BOGOF works.
So, no more free baconTehJumpingJawa wrote:"Sonic and the Secret Rings" for the Wii.
Labelled £14, SEL £34.71, scans @ £34.71.
A DTD of £41.42!
The SEL for this has now been corrected to £14.0
