Tesco misprices thread 8 - please only post misprices here

I would also point out that Tesco know that they have overcharged many customers by the time someone goes to CS for DTD and make no efforts to trace them or repay them. They can trace everyone by their clubcards and can easily pay back the money they have overcharged by their "error".0

It's definitely not illegal. You're simply taking advantage of their advertised policy on overcharging.
The only illegality is committed by Tesco - it's a serious criminal offence under the Consumer Protection Act 1987 for a trader to give a consumer misleading price indications.0 -
is there a link to explain how this works? I understand the principle (i think!). The SEL states ie £1 and you are charged £2. Therefore you should get the item free + £2 (double the difference). However, if i get a moody CS, i don't know where i could prove TESCOS policy on this amd would slope off with my tail between legs!!
Further DTD ie item sel £1 scanned at £1.50, does this mean i would get £1 back ie 50p difference doubled?0 -

Have a look at the very 1st post on the thread which explains the policy, although you don't really need to- You've got it right!
Unfortunately some CSs think they have the right to alter / ignore rules as they see fit!
There should be a large blue board behind them as the CS desk that says something along the lines of "If you are charged a price higher than the SEL we will refund DTD." It has lots of writing on, so look down it as you're waiting so you can quote! There should be a smaller one at each till.
Some MSEers print off a copy of this from the website to show in case the board has mysteriously gone astray.
Don't be fobbed off!
Good luck!Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -
When you say print off a copy from the website is that this website or Tesco Website? If its Tesco where would i find it? Thanks0

This thread is entitled 'Tesco misprices thread 8 - please ONLY post misprices here". Is this difficult for some people to comprehend?
I visit this particular thread to check on misprices, not a discussion about what DTD or SEL means etc ...
If you want to ask a question about how to take advantage of DTD start a separate thread with an appropriate title.
I'm sorry about being grumpy but this is an increasing source of frustration on this site - the laziness of some people that prevents them from researching the site before asking questions.0 -

This thread is entitled ' Tesco misprices thread 8- please ONLY post misprices here".I visit this particular thread to check misprices and pick up useful information. If you want to have a needless moan start a separate thread called "very grumpy and and only wish lists of misprices with no friendly chat or advice". The laziness of some people that prevents them from posting many misprices themselves and using their time to moan about others requesting help.:rotfl:
Phyllis have you not broken the thread rule yourself ie "Only misprices" by your last post having a moan. Did not see any misprices in your post, please refer to thread title in future- very lazy!! lol0 -
I tell you what, heskpesk, I'll do everybody a favour and tell them the last post on this thread where they can find a misprice, i.e. the whole purpose of this line of banter.
I think it was No.147 and it was put on last night at about 19.30 hrs.
I hope this helps someone!
ps My apologies for not being on-topic.
pps Would the OP like to change the title of this thread, adding "and general chit chat" to the end of it?0 -

Post 147 you say? What kind person posted that.....oh it was me!!!:rotfl:
Perhaps rather than complaining about the thread spend your time more positively by finding some misprices to post and that may get the thread back to misprices only!!0 -
agreed, no more chit chat and let's get back to the mis-prices. Anyone else agree?0
