I got the Barbie Diamond Castle dolls today
They were promo'd at BOGOF £12.97 (ended 2/09/08) and same on SEL, but went thru till at £12.97 each. I went to CS desk, lady went to shelf for a look and came back saying there was no lables there for these dolls!! She called someone from the department and said they were going for a look, so I followed. When I got there, the plastic hanging bit for promo was there but empty and SEL had gone! I said to her - I can see what's happened here - you took it out! Her face went 40 shades of red. Anyway, long story short, I got the dolls freeskint but in luv :kisses2:0 -

^Always go to the shelf with the "Customer Service" staff member - "just to show you where it is".
The tales of exactly this happening are absolutely rife, and one of the reasons why so many get narked with Tescos staff - they will lie to your face and say there was no label there. :eek:0 -
Just had a good but rather complicated DTD:
I noticed that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 game for Playstation 2 had a yellow sticker on saying: Buy One Get One Free-Cheapest Product Free £15 each. However the SEL stated £7.50 each. I purchased 2 and was charged £15 in total at the till. I approached the Customer Service Desk and stated that I thought the game was BOGOF at the SEL price of £7.50. The supervisor stated that the sticker should not be on game and the price of £7.50 reflected the offer price. I stated that it was not my problem that the sticker was still present.
After consideration she offered me £7.50 refund so in fact I would be getting BOGOF at £7.50. I pointed to the "Our Promise" board and asked for DTD.The supervisor stated that the DTD promise was just if SEL was wrong and did not include stickers.I read the notice back to her which stated if the price charged was different from the SEL or ON PRODUCT then DD.
Just seen the game on Ebay and sell for only a couple of quid so perhaps not worth the hassle!!
She gave me DD ie £15-£7.50 x 2= £15 (although unhappy)
So got the games for nothing. Only problem is I dont have a Playstation 2 so no real use to me.Looks like Xmas present for my Nephew sorted.
Just out of interest as my receipt was not marked could I get a refund from another store or is there special rules for Playstation games to stop people copying them???? I mean proper refund not another DTD....although...lol0 -

I've never had a problem with refundsat Tescos with a receipt, but only if the game is still sealed.0 -

Thank you but the game was not sealed when they gave it to me. They just opened up the game cases I had taken from the shelves to pay and put in a game disc from under customer service counter-is this wrong???
Thanks0 -
Nothing too exciting a full set of Tesco coloured pencils with 20% extra reduced from £2.97 to 99p went through as 37p. Lovely for xmas stockings or for charity boxes abroad!0

Some stores use this method for security instead of the security cases - you can give it a try but I think it's unlikely that you'll get a refund on them.0 -

I took the games back to another store today and got the refund after stating that the games did not arrive sealed:T0 -
Bounty kitchen towel - printed only. On offer at £1 instead of £1.99 - scans at full price. Got DTD without asking on 4 packs today. Was on aisle end promotion next to parazone bleach0
