    I've been Money Tipped!
Dora the explorer virtual book-price sticker £6.99, charged £8
Wall-E Galaxy quest book with magnetic drawing-price sticker £4, charged £5.

CS explained DtD to me v sweetly as if it were great getting double back-meanwhile I was mourning the days the books would have been free.
Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
  • 2 for £3 round boxes of cheeslets. twiglets, and another cheesy one. Normal price £2.49, 200g I bought two tubs of cheeselets.

Went thro at £2.49 each so £3.96 dtd. Whilst queing another lady brought two boxes back also cheeselets that she had got on Friday, so do not know if the others are going through at wrong price as well.
  • tesco value floral air freshener in a white plastic casing a slow release thing with the gel stuff inside shelf says 21p scanned at 5p! smell ok i only wanted them for my van!!
  • Last night I spotted an offer on some pork steaks, packs of two or three.
Meant to be on offer, reduced from £6.99 per kg to £5.99 per kg, but all the packs showed the higher price. Claimed DTD, i.e. £4.99 per kg, without any problem.
Not a substantial DTD, but every little helps.

They've obviously fixed this glitch at Lydney, Glos. as discount was taken off. Ah well, lots of Twiglets to munch!

BTW, Beware of the offer on crackers. Another women was pointing out to the manager that their 3 for £2 offer was hardly a bargain when the cream crackers included in the deal are only 58p per pack. He was arguing that other, more expensive crackers were included in the deal, but had to agree when she commented it was rather sharp & underhand practice.

  • Hi
I remember reading about a post for the 1kg beef joint with horseradish topping and stuffing, scanning at £1.75 instead of £7 or something like that. Unfortunately, I can't now find the post to give credit.
Anyway, I noticed that all the products in this range are now being packaged at 800g instead of 1 kg, so upon discovering there were still 1kg 'lamb leg joint with a crunchy rosemary and thyme crumb topping and a delicious stuffing' and the 1kg 'chicken breast joint: boneless chicken breast joint with added water, butter basted for extra succulence and flavour' right at the bottom of the pile, I took them to the till. The chicken scanned at £1.50 and the lamb scanned at £1.75 instead of £7! What a great bargain, now have the next 4 sundays roast sorted - a real treat when on benefits!
Thanks to op for original offer about the beef joint
I have gained from advice as well as bargains here, so if I can help in any way, I am only too pleased to do so and appreciate your thanks.

You read that £1.75 post on hotukdeals;)
  • Ah! yes, it must have been HUKD - no wonder I could not find the post!

And, yes, they are frozen meals in a thick foil container, with a cardboard sleeve around them. In Huddersfield, the 1kg were buried at the back, under the newer ones, but only a very small number left at tea time yesterday. Hopefully, other stores will have some too.
