Some really useful posts here that I've benefited from recently and probably forgotten to click the 'thanks' button, so - thanks everyone!0

I started this thread almost a year ago and would just like to thank everyone for keeping it on the front page. Unfortunetaly my store seem to have now sorted out their SEL problems so I have not been able to contribute much. However it is good to see so many new additions posting and keeping the fourm going strong. So a huge thank you to everyone!!0

Hi all
Today in Tesco I bought the In The Night Garden little library. It's a small case with 5 board books in it. It was in the baby books section if you're looking fori t.
It had a sticker on with 'half price £2.49' on it, so I thought I'd treat my little chap! Went through the till at £4.99 so I tottled myself to CS and got DTD £5 back. Free books!!
Little boy happy and mummy happy!:j
Thanks Tesco!:beer:0 -

It would be nice, but if we start doing that they start catching on to their misprices and remove them even quicker! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Yep and sometims they don't change the tickets so you can go back next day too, lol. Also CS could recognise your transaction if they read the thread - a long shot but stranger things happen.:p0 -
bought 2 toy story blu rays on the bogof however never went through. Went to CS and at first was told that the bogof stickers had not started yet and i should come back tommorow for the bogof.
I said i had bought them cause of that, they then said it was bogof on toy story and toy story2 i said i had bought the 2nd one as well and the offer hadn't kicked in. Next minute she rang the manager who was too busy to see me, 3 calls later i was offered the bogof.
I pointed out the sign behind them and was refused double the difference cause it was a promotion not a sel price error. Argued with CS for 20 mins gave up in the endany help?

Ring HO tomorrow on 0800505555 and retell your story or write a letter (not email). The blue board says "...or the price on the product". Your store was clearly going against national policy.
If this happens in future, ask to use their telephone as you'd like to ring HO from the CS desk for clarification: you normally find that they shift then.and give you DtD "on this occasion".Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

spoke to head office today and they spoke to the store and have said "because the special offer was put out to early and was not a system error it shoudln't be a double the difference matter"
that correct?0 -
The error was down to them so you are entitled to DTD if you were charged more than the SEL or price on the item. I would speak to customer service in Dundee again and read the wording from the blue board back to them and ask why this does not result in DTD. In summary you purchased based on price sticker, offer did not kick in so overcharged therefore DTD. Do not accept this and ask for a team leader or supervisor.0

Usually mentioning 'Trading Standards' and 'Misleading Customers' & 'False Advertising' helps Tesco staff remember why they offer DTD in the first place0
