Just bought a greeting card - sticker £1.48. Charged £1.54. Went to till to say I've been overcharged, apologies said and 6p change given.
It was late and I couldn't be bothered to argue over 6p but this has happened many times before - Tesco staff do not automatically give DTD.
Can anyone shed any light on this - does Mr T tell staff not to offer DTD unless asked to?
Use the big blue board on display at Customer service. DTD mentioned on there - some staff in some stores do need reminding of policy. have a read back through the rest of this thread and lots of incidents similar to yours around the country.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Our store has developed a very annoying habit. They have all the items on the £9.00 Meal Deal in one end fridge and always have one item from the previous weeks 'meal deal' that has been 'mistakenly' put in the same fridge bumping the price from £9.00 to approx £18 as the discounts no longer apply. This week it was a portion of green veg, last week it was the red wine. I ve only bought the deal twice and they caught me both times! I ve realised before i ve left the store and gone to Customer services to have it put right. They always blame the 'new girl' whose put it on the wrong shelf. I do my shopping with my 4 year old, 1 year old and 6 month old and its a blooming pain trying to read all the lables to make sure its the right stuff in the right place.0

Hi, just got a £9 meal deal but was charged for the individual amounts rather than the £9 it should have been. What looked like a manager at Customer Services gave me just the difference between the total cost and £9 - should I have got double the difference? Thanks for any help - new to all this.:o0

Yes!!!!!!!
Not necessarily. If one of the items wasn't included in the offer, then you've not been overcharged. The OP wasn't clear in specifying what they bought and a previous post said that items not included in the offer had been placed with the items that were in the deal. Without knowing the full details, you can't give a definate answer.
If the details of what is in the offer is clearly displayed, then you won't be entitled to DtD. If it is ambigious, then you have a case - for instance, I got DtD a few years ago on a bottle of Talisker Whisky as they had an offer on the 2yr old (I think) but had some 10yr old bottles at a dearer price, but hadn't specified the age on the offer."Life was easier when I didn't have a clue"0 -

ive got a quick question for someone who might know a bit more than myself!
i bought 3 wines a couple weeks ago in 3 for £10 and when i got home i realised it hadnt went through. so i went back the next day with 2 of the bottles as one had been drunk and was away in recycling. They said nothing could be done even though i had my originial receipt but didnt have all 3 bottles.
Am i stuck without a refund now or can they give me it without all of the bottles?0
