Or do what i do and take the SEL off the shelf and take to CS with me!"!

no, don't touch the SEL, they could accuse you of switching the lable with one from last week when the promotion was still valid. leave it there, by almeans take a picture with your camera phone (discretely) but try whenever possible to go with the CS member... use the "I'll show you where it was" line to go with them. then they can't lose the SEL on the way back.
I miss too many pages due to work so if you need an answer from me, please send me a PM.

In my local yesterday thought I would look at entertainment section to see if there were any misprices. Came across a lady with a printed list taking dvd,s and games and putting large amounts in her trolly together with sels. I though maybe she knew of loads of misprices till I realised she was just a merchandiser re doing the weekly chart!!
  • I got my first misprice since the days of r+r today.

I bought a copy of the New Moon book by Stephanie Meyer stickered and labelled at £3.86 or 2 for £7

It went through at £7.99 so i went to the cs desk. I explained what had happened and ca didn't apologise she just informed me that i had 'obviously' picked up an incorrect book (whilst examining the sticker to see if i'd stuck it on myself!!)
I then told her that the twilight series of books is always on the £3.86 offer at tesco and this is shown online too. She ignored me and said that she would 'just this once' refund the difference to me. I (rather smugly at this point ;) ) asked about dtd and she said that didn't apply to me as I had picked up the wrong book.

I KNEW i had the correct book so stood my ground which then meant she went and had a !!!!! about me with her colleagues for a bit and spoke to the manager. Finally she agreed and refunded me £8.26.

I was so annoyed at how she treated me that I swiftly rang customer services at head office and lodged a complaint.
To be fair though I've had enough of Tesco this week. Since Sunday I've had this to do over the book, found a tip of a knife/blade in a Tesco brand sausage, had my tesco handbag snap on me even though i've only had it 2 weeks and had my deep fat fryer recalled!!!!
Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself.

wins - peroni bottle opener, peroni bowl, peroni coastersx2 and a vodkat cocktail kit,
would love to win something 'proper'!!

Just bought a greeting card - sticker £1.48. Charged £1.54. Went to till to say I've been overcharged, apologies said and 6p change given.

It was late and I couldn't be bothered to argue over 6p but this has happened many times before - Tesco staff do not automatically give DTD.

Can anyone shed any light on this - does Mr T tell staff not to offer DTD unless asked to?

Id like to know the answer to this too as I've never been given dtd, just what they have overcharged me

Is it just me or do others notice that when there are good offers on there is often non there and the space allocated behind the offer sign is not even large enough to hold the items that are supposed to be on offer. Go back the next week same items full prices and there are loads of them?

    Sharp practice?

The Epos suggested ordering system will order stock based on the previous sales, it is the responsibility of the store management to not let the automatic reordering take place, but this does not happen in all cases. Hence, overstocked once the promotion has finished.
  • I wish they would DTD at asda, customer services must see me coming every time i do my shopping, they always mess up shopping bill every week it can be as much as £5.00 or more,i should be paid for my time too!the ammount of time customer services take to sort it out,an half the time they think your pullin a fast one....its the most humilliating thing to do ask for your own money back, but it is MY MONEY so im taking it...NEVER,EVER LEAVE BEFORE YOU CHECK YOUR RECEIPT!these big companies must be making £££ if they have a million people through their tills and overcharge by £1 everytime, well thats a cool million in their back pocket! PEOPLE POWER!
(and dont accept a damaged receipt,if they cant scan the bar code you cant a refund for any of it!as i found out the sign said 2 for £2 various fruits,i saw a box of oranges so took 4 bags,to find out they were £2 each i showed the sa the sign she said somone must have put them there and told me to go to customer services, but no refund because she couldnt scan receipt, she told me to go back to the till and get another one, surprise, surprise she couldnt because she had already served another customer....bottom line i got lumbered with£8 of oranges!!!!grrrrr....moral.....only accept a perfect till receipt!!!!)

Loads of those £3.86 books were going through at £7.99 but then the offer still came off when you bought two. This happened on Saturday and Sunday at our local store. It was meant to be solved, but who knows. I'd say I'm surprised but strangely I'm not.

The ordering should automatically adjust the order before and after an offer by the automatic up and down figures that they put in, eg if they usually sell 10 they might put a 20% uplift on it before the offer and then reduce it by 25% after.
