Just a thought... what if I'd served myself using the Self Service checkout?
Thank you for all your kind replies about DTD...I'm a newbie here ..hope I'm posting things properly...
It shouldnt make any difference as my local has the same stickers advertising the policy and other policys on the self scan just like the main tills.
Theres no clause written on the blue board at CS that says "not valid for self scan" although I have heard it used as one of many hundred different excuses used to refuse you DtD.
And who's to say you didnt have an important phonecall on your mobile whilst scanning/paying which distracted you from the price of the items0 -
Hi all,
I'm sorry for asking daft questions, but new to this. How do you know when something is mispriced? I take it you just happen to find out by luck when you go to the til, so you would get money back for something you wanted anyway?
I guess that means you can't specifically go and get something knowing before you go that it will be wrongly priced, as I would assume not all branches are the same, so even if it were posted on here it may not work in your local store? And i would guess Tesco's would fix it very quickly as soon as someone went to the customer services til to get money back?

If misprices are posted on here it is always worth checking in your local store. Do you have scanners dotted around your store for price checking? Scan things on there and that is the price you will be charged at the till. If it is more than the price on the shelf then you are in luck!!
If you don't have scanners and it is a major item then there is always "oh, sorry, I seem to have forgotten my card" at the checkout!!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Walked around games section and saw Nintendo DS Sherlock Holmes + The Secret Mummy (or something like that) with a sticker for £12 on, but the SEL said £16. So tried my luck. Went through at £16. Went through to CS. Extremely rude and arrogant CS manager accused me of putting the £12 sticker on. Could not be bothered arguing so asked for a refund. How do you guys manage to argue the DTD? *sigh*0

Keeping calm.
Refering to the big blue board.
The one time I was accused of putting a sticker on I stood my ground, insisted they stopped accusing me of fraud, asked them to show CCTV footage where I actually did this and asked for their phone to ring Head Office to clarify the situation. All the time the CS staff member was telling him how I often got things free to which I kept retorting that were the prices correct in the first place I wouldn't have to be so vigilant in checking my receipt.
The section manager was worn down by this point and issued full RnR. Took about 30 minutes, but it was a DVD boxset I really wanted and to have it RnR was just wonderful!Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
