Ah Tinyshoes your post has really brought a lump to my throat, that'll be me next year and I'll be in bits. Already getting choked at the thought of uni for DS and still got a year to go. She'll be fine and will love it and just think of all the spare time you'll have for glitching;) and I'm sure she has everything she need thanks to her savvy mum,
Hugs for tomorrow x
Thanks nikkilala, think I'm putting on a brave face but have been feeling under the weather all week and now this awful throat I could do without. Was ok with DD1 until the moment we left her on her own but she is only just over hour away. DD2 is going to be 4 hours away . I know you are right and I'm sure she will love it once she is there, just want to make sure she is settled in with plenty as think nearest supermarket is at least couple miles away. But think it is a Ts!! Hope she likes the Heinz mini meals and the Dolmio sauces with the extra onion and garlic! She will have to get to like Homepride chilli, but I know there will be no problem scoffing the Maryland cookies, jellies or custards.
How is the applying going is the dreaded Personal Statement finished yet. How many drafts is he up to?I do hope it all goes well and you are in my shoes next year. You will be as proud as me when it happens but we are allowed a few tears we are their mums!, will be trying to save mine until the trip home in the car.
Thanks for the hugs will be needing them x0 -
There are two Barbie cars at H4tf1eld, one stickered half price£12.50. and one with sticker removed! Have put the stickered one at the back if anyone wants one. This was ten minutes ago. Technika neckbands headphones with two sels, one £2 and the other much higher! They scan at £1.00. Whilst there the supertr0ut had a receipt in hand and checking the Kelly's ice cream that was on half price offer, she ut the SEL's in her pocket and returned to CS desk! Probably to tell customer that she had misread the label! HTH someone.0

OMG Tinyshoes we have had countless draft copies of the personal statement, It's due in next friday and we've now agreed no more "fiddling" with it, I've tried to explain that you can "overegg" something and it's as good now as it's ever going to be. I've already told him I'll cry if he gets an interview!
Will be thinking of you tomorrow xBeware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
Ok how many boxes of Roses have you still got nikkilala, I bet you some that it does get "fiddled" with before the weeks out! A week is a long time... By the time her dad, teacher and head of 6th form had all put their pennies worth in I don't think DD knew whether she was coming or going.
Just had lots of tears (not from me...yet) she doesn't want to go...will miss friends, her sport, oh what am I meant to say. 5 years is a long time, though didn't admit it. Tried to say christmas, easter and summer hols will soon be here, feel like I'm wishing her life away. I will miss her lots.0 -
Pr*scot, Merseyside had the cars but no sticker. No school sets but had the polly pocket boats in the season isle with sticker and scanning full price. Didnt get any cuz ive already got one for an xmas present for friends little girl. No sewing machines either which I really wanted. In the main isle they had a yellow tub thing with disney cars/toy story and disney princess/fairies wrapping paper for 10p. There are also packs of happy birthday napkins for 12p in the seasonal isle along with some cheap birthday banners 10p and gift bags. Hth xoxo0

Also in Pr*scot, Merseyside the parazone bleach it on the top shelf in boxes not even a SEL. Looks like they were trying to hide them but managed to get a box down!:rotfl:They scan at 30p and go through as BOGOF so 15p a bottle!!!0

Tinyshoes & Nikkilala, took my eldest to uni last Saturday. It was a busy day, getting there, unpacking, fresh food shopping, no time for tears then, or as leaving, but as you get their old rooms cleaned out, bedding washed etc etc.. and the days roll on, their contact diminishes as they spread their wings, get settled, make new friends, and it's now, that I feel the emptiness.
Yes holidays come around, but in essence, they have gone.
Wish you well Tinyshoes, and nikkilala too when your turn comes next year! The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -
