I just b****y knew it was;) I was in there for 1/2 hour at the weekend arguing over DTD, it's just horrendous and I complained to the CS services so now they've really marked my card. They are so rude and obnoxious, they are the worst staff ever but the SA's are lovely, it's just CS.
I only had two dtds there before, one shaver(asked for dtd but given ok) and 5 packs of prawns(fastest dtd ever given without asking!) so didn't really expect such a fuss :rotfl:
but I WON!
Also saw they have a quite big clearance/seasonal section but didn't browse... Will do lots of trips over the weekend I think... :cool:0 -
Tinyshoes & Nikkilala, took my eldest to uni last Saturday. It was a busy day, getting there, unpacking, fresh food shopping, no time for tears then, or as leaving, but as you get their old rooms cleaned out, bedding washed etc etc.. and the days roll on, their contact diminishes as they spread their wings, get settled, make new friends, and it's now, that I feel the emptiness.
Yes holidays come around, but in essence, they have gone.
Wish you well Tinyshoes, and nikkilala too when your turn comes next year!
Thank you midwinter, that brought tears to my eyes. I still have DD3 at home just starting GCSEs so my nest is not empty yet. DD1 is due to graduate next year and is threatening to come back. Oh dear DD2 in shower and I can hear her sobbing it is so different DD1 was so happy to be going. If it wasn't for all the fees going sky high am sure a gap year would have been for the best, don't think she is quite ready to spread her wings, hope she feels better when she gets there.
On a happier note ironing still not done as had to go and visit Ts for the cheap hair dryers and straightners.
Todays bargains:
Babyliss Pro230 Straightner £5.10
Babyliss Pro215 Straightner £1.84
Babyliss Elegance 2100 Hair dryer £2.86 (careful new packaging scans full price)
Powerforce work bench £3.75 (suddenly appeared in my store!)
Kenwood triblade Hand Blender Set £4 (SEL £10)
(Sale sticker on it says was £47.95 now £39.97)
Thanks to everyone for their good wishes, I am signing off for rest of day as otherwise we won't be ready for tomorrow. Speak to you all soon on my now favourite thread. Leave some bargains for me for sunday!0 -

Went to grab two sets of phones(greedy me!LOL), all fine, scanned at a very expensive price, went to the phone shop(where they sent me) and the girl was happy to refund the difference, but when I asked for dtd she went off to call the duty manager. came after ca.5 mins and said that dtd doesn't apply to promotional items only to white sels and I can only get it at the sel price :rotfl:I said I don't think so and she replied I can call HO if I want to confirm. I said yes please and I'd like to speak to the duty manager first. So the a**h*le comes over and is soo rude I'm fuming by then!(things like it's his discretion and on THIS ocassion he's not offering dtd as it's too much of a value! and no I can't use the store's phone unless I agree on part refund!).So I called HO and a very nice guy made the a**h*le give me dtd:D However I spent nearly an hour there and they also tried to make me go home just with the refund slip(I'm sure the sh*t of a manager told the security guy to stop me and accuse of shoplifting:rotfl:because he told the girl to keep my receipt!) I will be emailing uncle phil about it! No apology from him whatsoever!
anyway happy with my phones and my bf quite impressed with me as I made him come with to "watch me in action" :rotfl:
The are NOT entitled to keep your receipt. It's yours, you paid for the goods. They can take a copy, but you should get that back. It's your proof of purchase.I miss too many pages due to work so if you need an answer from me, please send me a PM.

I know, that's what I told them! I'm sure the duty manager hoped I'd be happy with my refund and would try to walk out of the store with the return slip and two boxed phones in my bag!
However they kept the original receipt and printed another one for me at the till, scribbled and highlighted it all over in 3 different colours and wrote with a fat black marker "NO REFUND" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Like I don't have the transaction on my bank statement :cool:0 -
Happy Birthday legendmum:beer:
Welcome back to everyone that's finding us again, the more the merrier:T Managed to finally get the dishwasher tablets today so pleased but had a bit of a trauma with the bleach. Went into a different T's today as I really do need to give my locals a rest, Saw the bleach with the £1 something SEL but the self scanner wasnt working. So I nipped over to the self scanners and asked the girl if she could check the price for me and she said it was 30p. Lovely I thought and walked back to the bleach where my mum was waiting. Loaded a dozen each into our trolleys because I thought even if it doesnt go through at BOGOF it's still a bargain. then realised a manager in a suit was standing behind me studying the bleach and my trolley. He'd heard me ask for a price check!!! Nodded to my mum towards the self scan and we both rushed to them with me telling her to get them scanned as quick as!! The manager is walking behind us with a bottle of bleach in his hand. I was just desperate to get them scanned and paid for:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Nearly ran out of T's but the BOGOF did work so 15p a bottle but don't think I'll be going there for a while, he definately sussed something;)
Sorry for quoting myself but just found out that after me and my mum left they pulled all the bleach off the shelves, Narrow escape I think:eek:Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

Got the parazone in old Y and BB and the store that pulled it all was on the A4#, but no playdoh in any of them. The dishwasher tablets are glitching in old Y but not BB which is really unusual because you can nearly always rely on BB to glitch;)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0
