Feelinskint wrote: »My Wife has just been to Tesco Cl@y X, looking for some of the Car DVD players, unfortunately they all scanned at full price. BUT she noticed some Barbie cars with the Sticker on again, she bought 2 from the self scan tills. WHEN SHE SCANNED THEM it asked her "Is this the correct price" and when she clicked no then the supervisor came over and changed the price to the reduced 1, not sure if this is nationwide or store specific OR if it is self scan only and not on the tills but BEWARE this may be Mr T's way of reducing the DTD's we get.
Anyway if someone is close by ie. JumbleJack or Josie then the wife said there were still a few on the shelf, not sure if you want to try it on a normal till and hope it doesn't come up with the error or even test it at a normal till to check - You can always take it back for a refund.
I had this at a normal checkout with the glasses, though many others got them no problem. I think it will be down to the individual store management.0 -
Just picked up this one:

£160 on Tesco Direct - scanned at £20 - bargain0 -
Gosh, that was a fight!
Went to grab two sets of phones(greedy me!LOL), all fine, scanned at a very expensive price, went to the phone shop(where they sent me) and the girl was happy to refund the difference, but when I asked for dtd she went off to call the duty manager. came after ca.5 mins and said that dtd doesn't apply to promotional items only to white sels and I can only get it at the sel price :rotfl:I said I don't think so and she replied I can call HO if I want to confirm. I said yes please and I'd like to speak to the duty manager first. So the a**h*le comes over and is soo rude I'm fuming by then!(things like it's his discretion and on THIS ocassion he's not offering dtd as it's too much of a value! and no I can't use the store's phone unless I agree on part refund!).So I called HO and a very nice guy made the a**h*le give me dtd:D However I spent nearly an hour there and they also tried to make me go home just with the refund slip(I'm sure the sh*t of a manager told the security guy to stop me and accuse of shoplifting:rotfl:because he told the girl to keep my receipt!) I will be emailing uncle phil about it! No apology from him whatsoever!
anyway happy with my phones and my bf quite impressed with me as I made him come with to "watch me in action" :rotfl:0 -
Could be tempted to drive to Warrington for this and I'm in London:rotfl:None on the shop floor OH is asking the electrical desk!!!
After telling him of the deal, my brother just got one of the laptops down in the South East for £179.00 if that helps anyone...
Have rang local stores and some are available still... PM me for details if needed.
Don't all rush though as I don't have one for myself yet!!!0 -
Mine is going off next weekend....Dunno if we are gonna fit everything into the car...renault scenic...so worried.. is he gonna be cooking... is he gonna wash his clothes... keep his room tidy??? be safe... get up in mornings...??? blah blah...
Is it just me??? Or are all mums the same??
It's a mum thing without a doubt, I am just going to look at it as a new period of his life and mine. But all the same worries as you, my DS isnt going til next year but has already told me he can get 3 weeks out of a pair of jeans:eek:without washing them. Getting emotional reading everyones threads so I don't know what I'll be like next year, a gibbering wreck!!
Good job we're on the Elite 11 thread otherwise we'd get told off for going O/T;)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
BTW noticed instore today that all the large tins of Christmas chocolates are up to £10, presumably so that they can "reduce" them again next week for the big price drop promotion! So, if you see any of the old £5 SELs up, go for it!0

For all those parents whos babies are going/gone to uni try not to worry. My dd started last year, it was a bit upsetting and I miss her terribly. We are like best friends but you have to let them spread their wings and let them learn by their own mistakes.
This year when she went back her car was so packed with glitches that we had to go the following week with a lot of her stuff lol. :rotfl:I am a Dolphin Angel:A

I just b****y knew it was;) I was in there for 1/2 hour at the weekend arguing over DTD, it's just horrendous and I complained to the CS services so now they've really marked my card. They are so rude and obnoxious, they are the worst staff ever but the SA's are lovely, it's just CS.Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0
