  • Whoops!

Went to N3wbury today as they have a much bigger Ts than we do. Remembered reading about someone who got a landline telephone on DTD. My landline is totally on the blink at the moment (cuts out after a 5 min conversation), so was looking at the SELs of all the twin handset phones. Took a couple to the self scanner, but kept getting noticed by staff, so gave up and went back to my friends van.

All the SELs are in date, so am tempted to ask him to drive me there again when they're a day or two out of date.

Would be lovely for them to pay me to have a new landline phone!
  • Hi, Went to mr T's for a browse this afternoon, no dtds but got 2 trays each of the carbonara and bbq beans both at 18p, (left plenty on shelf) Got 6 playdoh sets of clip strips in toy isle, (2 full strips left there too) also spotted a fleece heated throw on top shelf, I had wanted to get mym mom one of these first time i saw them but they were £45, then they were reduced to £22.50, then down to £12.50, they used to be loads of them on the end of an isle, then all of a sudden they dissappeared..... Until today, reached it down, scanned it and £5 it was. So thats put away for my mom for christmas, Cant see it on web site so cant post link, but it blue box, BC 5052004951869. They also had plenty of the half price disney costumes too. This was Walsall extra btw

Oh could somebody please tgell me what i've missed on the toy story duvets please, i was looking at them today funny enough but there was no sel for the toy story one. TIA

    right back on track! lol

well haven't been lucky enough to get any 'biggies' well anything recently, untill today :)

    *************
toy story3 duvet set with a reduced from £14 down to £4.25 sel, went through the till at £14 so was paid £5.50 to take it home :D

it was in the normal aisle with the other childrens duvet sets, and has 'woodys' head showing through the wrapper,a little piccie showing the whole duvet with buzz and woody on in large and little other pics. of some of the other charactors and a sticker on the packet saying reversable.

sorry can't post barcode at the mo,as its still in the car,was chucking it down so just made a mad dash to get indoors!)

maybe one to look out for as not an ood sel,but a not been changed on the system one (if you know what I mean :o) they did take the sel off in my store.

HennyPenny79, bumping the above for you.

However popped into Sl*ugh Extra today and SEL for the duvet was £14 (actually had two designs and the SEL was for both - had two barcodes on) no reduced SEL at all.

Also checked a Muppets 'Animal' and Spongebob duvet but both scanning at correct RTC prices (£8.50 and £2.25) Spongebob would be a bargain for anyone with kids into that.

Oh and loads of Play Doh on clipstrips too at the same store, again, not really of any use to me so left it for someone else to enjoy.

The school stationery has an extra 20% off at the moment. I bought 3 packs of mini gel pens 10 in a pack I think they are. They are in red boxes on the end off the aisle. Marked up at 3 for 2. £1 each so should have been £2 total then with the 20% reduction also. Went through with no 3 for 2 but with the 20% off so £2.40 total. Went to CS, She gave me £1 back ... being the price of one. I then realised hang on dtd and so got another £1 so effectively 40p for 3 packs of gel pens. Did notice there were just a few other 3 for 2s in the stationery mainly little things like fluffy pens and foot shaped pencil sharpener all reduced to 50p. Dont know if the 20% off has sort of messed up the 3 for 2 offer kicking in. hth

got an ipod ipad speaker in tesco carlixxe, had 39.99 on sel no scanner working in the shop so took a chance woohoo charged £79.99 got £80 back so got it free infact they paid me a penny to take it away! Sad it may be but my hubby asked me during the week what i wanted to do on saturday, i got excited and said can you take me to tesco 30 miles away, he looked at me like i was off my head, i couldn't stop laughing at what i said but the reality was that a trip to a "new" tesco's was so exciting. Also got 8 dettol refills and 8 fairy liquids, would be rude not to!

Wow I have just opened the Sabatier knife set, how sharp are those knives, they are great but I wouldn't have paid £50 for them, or £25, but as they were a gift from Mr T, I shall think of him whenever I use them and smile.

They told me I would only get the lower price back if I returned them:T

The CS person I spoke to on the phone said the overcharge makes no difference, they shouldn't refuse you a refund.

The phones he said may be faulty (although I think they are just naff and not worth the £120 each they were originally at) and they shouldnt be any problem, gave me a ref number

I agree it does raise your profile and I haven't had the nerve to do it for anything else tbh but man those Denby's are ugly lol, I agree thrill of the chase took over on that one
