My store has the yellow banner up I went in and got six packs of the sirloin at 15.97/kg (1 steak to a pack ) paid and went cs she went and checked and cane back with some vague excuse about it being fillet steak on offer so I insisted and she said she would go to the butcher counter ten minutes later she appears with six more pack all at the 7.??/kg and with a red half price sticker flashed all over it - these were two steaks to a pack so after a bit of a discussion of me trying to ask what the difference was between the packs I gave up and just got a refund and said I had only wanted the bigger steaks and two to a pack was no good for me .
Was I entitled to dtd or were they right?

Spotted a BT phone set with sel way, way out of date.
Trouble is, no scanners in this store, and also would be quite a substantial DTD if it came off, or quite a big cost if it didn't - so I just wanted to check....
Which BT phone sets have people managed to get on DTD?
I did trawl through dozens of pages last night, but the search field also brought up just loads of talk about BT phone prices, so couldn't find a lot of details - names, bar codes etc.

If in doubt buy it and find out, if it is still reduced you can take it back for a refund instead of double the difference, either way you don't lose out

I was in same position on Wednesday but they didnt have any of them half price packed ones...
CS kept saying they dont know and it was the butchers decision...
So calls HO whilst still in the store...after talking to HO and then the Manager in store...wasting so much time.. got nowhere..they just wouldnt budge.. kept insisting its a different steak... but I pointed out the banners outside the store and a sign on a wobbly post..

So fed up..with tescos...kept saying subject to availability...etc..sold out...said I went Tuesday and they didnt have it in stock, so thought it would be this one which they have not reduced...no not having any of it!!!

Yes, I am usually a lurker but only because I don't shop at Tesco- Having been ripped off too many times in the past by them, I avoid as much as possible.

I will enter the hell hole if necessary & recently I've picked up 2 JM Denby sets - Thanks for posting them. No point in telling you which store they were from as they were the last 2 & the SEL was removed. :mad:

When I told my husband he happily went to other two stores-involving a 50 mile around trip!... a miracle in itself as he does NOT do shopping. He came home very happy with free Lemon meringue pies - Glad he didnt pay for them & we wont be buying them:cool:, but no more Denby. Now we know what to look for we hope to contribute more to this thread especially after 6/9 when a lot of offers will finish. Still don't want to shop at Tesco but don't mind being paid to take things away- makes up for all the time I have been overcharged & not noticed.

Been in to the Hudd**sfield store today & found the 18p can of Beans & sausage & Carbonara on a clearence shelf. I have had a couple but having read the reports that they may not be nice left a fair few behind.

No DTD again today so had to console myself with 20 cans of mini meals, 10 sets of play-doh and a Minnie Mouse and Buzz Lightyear single duvet for the kids (£4.50 each)

Hi everyone, got something new to contribute I think:j. I have just visited my local store and remembered to check the printer inks which I think had SEL's which ran out on 16/8/11. I was very pleased to notice that they had been predictably incompetant and there was 1 left with a yellow BOGOF label, it was Canon BCI-24 Color cartridge. Went though at £7.33 each so refund from nice lady at CS for £14.66.....off to my other stores to see if there are any more. Will also be checking the Black drizzle wine glasses which ran out on 19/8, hoping they've been missed!! xx

Also a DTD find! New Uncle Bens Rice Time meals on offer at £1. The SEL for the Cantonese variety was 45p, charged £1, paid to take away!

No I didn't buy anything from body shop, have a massive box full under the bed as well as a box full of sanctuary stuff that was on clearance and in the garage still a box full of DTD shower gel and shampoos each AND a box full of superdrug shampoos and shower gels!!!!!

I only opened the body shop thread after the code had finished thankfully didn't realize from thread title it was buy one get2 free and 50% off as well. Their glitches are every other week anyway a bit like T's , ic you miss one don't worry sure enough there'll be another just around the corner!

It's sad that you comment about newbies. Everyone is a newbie at some point.
To all of the regulars, I love reading the comments and finds so thank you for keeping me upto date and entertained.
However as you bag yet another phone, Denby set or 50th can of etc.
Spare a thought for those that do not have the funds to take advantage of the phone scanning at 149.99 with a SEL of 49.99. I like many only get the chance very occassionally, but would certainly report my find if I got lucky. I'm sure there are plenty on here that would be classed as lurkers because they read and don't post. But not everyone is lucky enough to have the money or live close enough to more than 1 T's to take advantage of these offers and money making opportunities.
