It's sad that you comment about newbies. Everyone is a newbie at some point.
To all of the regulars, I love reading the comments and finds so thank you for keeping me upto date and entertained.
However as you bag yet another phone, Denby set or 50th can of etc.
Spare a thought for those that do not have the funds to take advantage of the phone scanning at 149.99 with a SEL of 49.99. I like many only get the chance very occassionally, but would certainly report my find if I got lucky. I'm sure there are plenty on here that would be classed as lurkers because they read and don't post. But not everyone is lucky enough to have the money or live close enough to more than 1 T's to take advantage of these offers and money making opportunities.

    apologies if i offended x:A

what i menat to say was the thread is less under the spotlight in the gone section than on the grabbit board

unfortunately with DTD's, once one person has claimed, usually the SEL is removed so as was the case with the meringues if there's alot of people in the same area going for the same deals unfortunately not everyone will win, i have to say thats not always been the case though with T's, the infamous stripey glasses still around -had DTd several times from the same store, as are the megablocks which i also got a DTD on 3* in the same store lol!

i only have one extra store and 2 small stores near me, with 3 kids and a full time job and a DH that works away, it can be near impossible to get to T's on a regular basis, my boys are little monkeys as well, if i took them further afield they really do not last very long at all before either they are killing each other or i am killing them (good distraction though in T's not sure if its worth it though!)

hope you do get some finds though x:)

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi, Celebrate,
    No offence taken,
I love reading through the thread and certainly don't begrudge anyone a great bargain or freebie. Just wanted to remind all that there must be loads of frustrated and less fortunate out there that benefit from this thread and possibly never post. I manage plenty of whoopsies from Waitrose and T's to help us so we don't do badly.

From the chiller cabinet,627g pack of quick cook lamb chops (approx 9 per pack) £9.00 on pack, sel £6.00. Had a TL at CS who was training someone, so she read out each instruction on the screen! Very informative. Briefly, scan the pack and input how many customer has, input what the shelf label says times the amount that the customer has, press overcharge as the reason for refund and it will tell you how much to refund to the customer, in this case £12.00. Check customers receipt for method of payment. She went on to explain that because the customer had 2 packs and had expected to pay £12 but was charged £18, T refund double the difference. I didn't know till today that the screen shows the DTD amount that has to be refunded!

I wish I could say it was me but unfortunately I didn't get that far. The traffic going through Belfast to the arterial routes today has been horrendous. I got caught up in the aftermath of an accident so had to cut the journey short because of the kids.

Thank you so much for your PM though and I hope it was someone on here that got them though even I wouldn't have had the nerve to take 2 items that price!

I did manage some cheap Lego and Playdoh in my local and got some extras for WBMF. Not a totally wasted day all in all.

Caz you are a star :D Let me know what I owe you. Will organise a meet up soon as I've that Dr Who stuff for you too ;) Honestly what are we like :rotfl: but I love it all the same :rotfl:

When I recieved my DTD today the lady at CS commented to her colleague that it was 1st time she'd done it since the 'new process' was put on the till. When she'd done it she said how much easier it was and her colleague agreed as it meant they didn't have to work out the DTD amount anymore.
Does this mean there'll be no more arguements at the CS desk???? Hmmmmm

This process is not new on the CS till. It has been in there for at least 12 months, although it seems that not all CS people (know of/admit to*) its existence.

Pah! Got totally trouted with DTD on sirloin steaks today. Checked advertising, all good, item in stock, all good, made purchase, all good.... went to CS and the nasty nasty lady firstly refused to accept there was any promo at all, then went off to the meat area (where there was actually zero advertising about the promo as it was all outside) and came back claiming it was only sticked items as they had run out. When I tried to argue against this she wasn't having any of it. So I said, that although the steak had now been out of the chiller, so they prob couldn't resell it, I'd like a full refund...

Have now sent an email to Customer Service with a very detailled complaint (photos and all) so we'll see what they come back with. ...darn it, wasn't planning to have steak this weekend, but being so close to having it, I really really fancy it now!
