Don't worry, I wouldn't try it with a marked receipt... Nor do I want to raise my profile...

Most receipts I got back unmarked and I wouldn't think of returning them to the same store... in case of cctv etc.

Thanks a lot guys! :) don't have any more questions so we can end it before it escalates... ;)

:beer:Hi I hope I am posting on the right thread so be patient, so excited, I have just got my first DTD!!! To cut the story short, went into Mr Ts and spent £87, with a few coupons (Morrisons 5 off a £40 spend) and a couple of others it came to £74.78, I was very pleased at that as I had made use of the Carlsberg Larger glitch that is on at the moment, however upon checking my receipt I saw I had been charged twice for a bag of sugar so I stood in the queue at CS, while I was waiting I noticed I only had one pack of chicken fillets (£3 special offer) on my receipt and I had bought 3 packs, further down my receipt I had been charged for 2 Kaftans!! at £12.00 each (which I had not bought) by now very puzzled and I got to front of CS queue and DTD started running through my mind. I explained to trout (in the making) and she scanned chicken again and it came up as chicken and not kaftans!! She blamed it on the till an said I will refund the difference, I took a deep breath and said I would like DTD she said no as it was not an overcharge, it was a different item!! I stuck to my guns and pointed the the Policy on the wall behind her and she scurried off and came back with a gift card for £36.00 Now my question is could I have asked for it back in cash or to be put back on my debit card? I wasn't too sure so settled for the gift card. Went out loaded my car up, went back in with my gift card and got another 36 Carlsberg for £21, hang on I havnt finished, on my original shop I had a till spit for £3 off a £20 spend so my Carlsberg only came to £18!! I am one happy bunny today, Thanks to all you peeps out there for the info that you share on a daily basis! PS am I pushing my luck if I do a price check too? LOL

Yes you were within your rights to insist that it be put back onto your card. (you could have cash as paid by debit card). DTD does not go onto gift cards in Tesco.

Carlsberg export at the minute is reduced to £3.00 from £3.99 for four 440ml cans so I bought 12 cans which came to £9.00 at the bottom of the receipt it takes off further discount of £1.97 making 12 cans £7.03 (see it in grabbits) from yesterday I think hope this helps

Incidentally Mr Kelly still visits MSE from time to time under one of his usernames. He was last logged in on 23-06-2011 at 7:09 PM. How do I know? Because I still have one of his messages in my PM box from October 2006 where he befriended me for information that he would later use against me (albeit unsuccessfully).

Thank goodness,:j I am not Mr Kelly then..... I just about live on MSE.
Thankfully I never had dealings with him, but he looks perfectly charming in his photo...:D:eek::D
