Tesco misprices and discussion thread 11

The king size SEL was correct but the double was £12.50 on the (white) SEL and scanning at £25.00 so thank you for that spot, one free duvet!!
The CS lady was great but did say that they have a new policy of having the overcharge reviewed and authorised by a manager. Although as it happens he was too busy to come down and did it over the phone as it was such an obvious one. This could be store specific rather than company policy.
Glad someone else managed to benefit from this misprice, I loved my nice cool sleep last night0 -

Just an update, local store had the Pixma Printer (Canon I think) with a SEL of 39.99 from 79.99 - 12/7... chanced my luck thinking FREE Printer and scanned at 39.99.
Will be returning shortly....
On to the next item0 -
saw a lucky person getting an amazing £88 DTD today in Car*ickfe*us. Two toasters, were on sale at £18 but back up to full price of £40....ha ha, but sign hadn't been removed. She looked really shocked when the customer services explained she was getting the toasters for free and getting £8.00 to take them away.....hilarious.
...and i was just buying my lotto :j
they were Breville silver 2 slice toasters (couldn't very well poke in her trolley for the bar code)...but might be somewhere else as this store sorted it out pronto, so i couldn't slip in and bag me some too:(It's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog! :money:0 -

The SA was changing the SEL on it just as I arrived. I scanned it anyway in the hope it would still be £7 odd as I would have had one at that price anyway.0 -
Tesco Responsibly Sourced
BREADED COD FILLETS
300g Two fillet pack dated Display until 25 July
RED circular stickered £2
Price on pack £2
SEL states £2.49 and goes through at this.
Overcharge of 49p per pack for DTD of 98p making them £1.51 each.
I actually got £6 back today from 4 stripey glasses (£4) and fish (£2).
Also saved a fortune on cider (see the Peroni Lager thread).Keep SmilingSite member number 24

Folowing conversation last week with CS who told me to go back into Sealand Road, Chester Home Plus Store for my DTD that I was refused for the dinner Service, I went today only to be told, 'No you're not having it'! Phoned CS again and they said I have to deal with the store and it's nothing to do with them.
Belts and wallets there are scanning at £1.10 & £1 still.0 -
woohoo, first box of megablocks for me today! Can't believe they are still out there! No wine though-thats what I had my eye on today!
Just out of interest does anyone else write a list of things they are interested in with the expiry date of the SEL? (Or am I going totally over the top with my addiction?!)0 -

a bit pointless tbh...there is a 99.99% chance it will be removed or extended... unless your store is REALLY bad at it... I only scan them with my eyes and remember the day lots of them expire so that there is a better chance they miss something...
no wine for me today, no duvets, no toasters... even wanted to try my luck with a loong expired bthp baybyliss straightner but scanned at even lower price so just "changed my mind"... oh well, will do better soon enough :cool:0
