Managed to get to mr t's b*is*ol on Monday, found the chilli nuts and still plenty left, also found 4 belgian chocolate puds took 2 and left 2, and got some more glasses, had a right fuss getting them this time though :o I was at cs for a good 20 mins, took the lovely girl from cs to show her where the glasses were, was told that the offer is the one on the shelf etc and I said well I didn't look at the sel I looked at the offer on the red stickers on the glasses she then said that these glasses have been a problem and she would have to call the manager, the manager didn't come down so the not so lovely and very young jobsworth boy that works on cs started getting all bossy with the nice lady and me! tried to fob me off with £2 dtd too! Won't go into too much detail but needless to say I stood my ground got the correct amount of dtd and then got some points added from some wombled receipts!!:rotfl:

ohhh someone got out of the bed/or the wrong bed, the wrong side. i dont mind if "they" put us in "gone but was it good" much more cosy in there anyway. but this thread should stay the same.
life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.

Is it me or are the ones who are complaining those who have barely contributed? I may be wrong but I don't recognise the usernames so maybe it's getting harder for those who take advantage of others hard work and effort in posting, to find all those bargains for themselves?

If you want bargains laid out on a plate then go to HUKD and deals with the politics of posting over there.

As I said, I could be wrong.

And that's fair enough but in these DTD days, I don't recognise the users as having contributed to this thread but obviously they have been benefitting from it. The fact that these users have taken the time to post that it's getting harder for them to read a few extra pages to find the bargains makes me

I may not have found masses of mis-prices but I do post what I find and although maybe store specific, it points people in the right direction. People complaining that they don't like the chat in a discussion thread makes me want to joins others and start lurking and that's not what this forum is all about.

Please, not another T thread - I spend so much time reading about shopping I hardly have time to do any!

If I found a bargain today I would struggle to know where to put it - is it a bargain, a glitch, a mis-price, should it have a new thread, has it already been mentioned on one of the other threads and everyone will jump on me... It's almost enough to put you off posting.

I am a lurker because by the time I have read all your funnies, and jump between threads, I forget what I come on here for in the first place! Or else someone beats me to it and reports something first, but as all stores have different bargains and not ALL leave the SELs to run over, so it is a case of looking yourself!

However, it is human nature to go off track. They will want you to sit on your hands soon;)

I don't post often on the T's thread, purely because I haven't been to a T in aaages!!! But I'd love the Tesco threads to be kept as they were, I sometimes have to go back a couple of pages to find misprices or glitches, but that means, the Tesco hawks working for mr T watching this thread have to too, If we post in blue, it makes it easier for them and glitches may be over sooner.
  • I'm a bit scared to say this now, but:

Congratulations Emerald and Isla! Beautiful name BTW.

I've been so busy the last few days that I haven't been able to post. Don't you just hate it when life gets in the way? I have managed to find the time to catch up on others posts, by reading the thread on my phone while cooking or waiting for the kids to come out of school. And I was way more excited by Emeralds news than by any (pretty much store specific) misprice/DTD. If you really want these bargains, you need to get to your own local and look for yourselves. If the thread is just going to be a list of misprices, it my as well be a list of 'don't bother going to -insert local tesco here- because I've already done it.

Anyway, that was just my irrelevant waffle. Please feel free to ignore it.

I'm quite happy to just have the discussion thread without specific details.

For you info The Dude has been, like me around since the R&R days plus a few others who have come on here to comment their opinion in the last couple of pages. There's a reason for not recognising these usernames ( you would if you had been around in 2006/2007) I can assure you that those names are not just lurking to gather info, they will be doing the legwork themselves if they want to.

It's a bit different with glitches and 1p items as these are very hard to find and they are something which can be obtained from one store many times over once discovered unlike misprices which is generally a one off as the offending SEL is removed once the DTD is obtained thus making that particular find no longer available in that store.

We had these discussions then, it was much better to keep the two separate, in fact as I said I'd much rather specifics of finds aren't posted on here so tesco can have a look and then correct their SELs based on info shared here. It happened before and it will happen again.

I personally don't come on here for info, it's pretty easy to do the work yourself, making note of when offers are finishing.

I like reading the banter on here, and advising where I can.

That's why you find usernames you don't recognise posting advice or warnings etc because, quite frankly we've been there before and know what will happen.

Yes it's exciting when you get a decent DTD, but if you want to be in it for the long game then you have to play with care.

Firstly congratulations Emerald, a beautiful baby girl with a beautiful name.:):)

I rarely read the forums due to lack of time but when I do, I not mind reading through pages and pages as I think that if i want the bargains then I have to be prepared to put some effort in. Also I think if the thread was just devoted to DTD items it would make it easier for Tesco staff to correct the prices (if they read the forum) so I think it best to keep the thread as it is with the discussion 'hiding' the DTD items.

Thank-you all for spotting and posting the bargains.

Almost all of these glitches are store specific and down to the laziness of the individual store staff to change the labels when the offer runs out.

Time is not free, Just because certain posters do not work and have extra time to go bargain hunting doesn't mean that time poor people if they find a deal/glitch will not contribute.
