This thread needs to be reviewed - frankly it is out of control.

A long time ago there was a Tesco Misprice thread and a Tesco Misprice Discussion thread - the latter was often targeted by those who had a problem with R&R and there was the odd spat leading to the mods closing the discussion thread.

For quite some time the misprice thread trundled on just reporting misprices until this point in time where it has evolved into primarily a discussion thread with misprices all too often being lost in the noise.

In fact this thread reminds me of the Boots thread - lots and lots of chat...I ain't knocking it but there needs to be a place for chat and a place for misprices: the time has come for 2 threads please mods...?

I've saved this post for this time of day - in the hope that enough of you read this before the next dozen postees come along with more chat...

Timely, lucid and to the point, Duder.
    Thankyou.

Please, Mods - let's have our original misprice thread back, the one that does what it says on the tin.

Sorry supposed to be lurking but finding it hard to keep my gob shut
    ANOTHER T's thread
    Are you for real???????
I recently suggested the same on the 1p thread but in retrospect I think the chat and camaraderie makes the thread what it is and I would like it to stay as it is
If we had a list of misprices it would be very easy for lurkers who don't contribute (oops like me!) and T's to just use the list without doing any legwork
We are all busy, I work am pretty much a single mum am presently at the hospital with my mum but still catching up on the thread
Get off your bum and read through the thread if you want your bargains

The original thread was a Misprice Thread for information, not illiterate, irrelevant waffle.
As for your unnecessary last sentence, I do not need to stand up to read.

well said, Dude, and thoroughly agree. The same has happened to the Tesco 1p bargains thread as well.

Latterly there's been tons of posts congratulating somebody on having a baby! Hardly a relevant post about the bargains.
  • :( i like the chattering, it makes it more fun. :( plus i dont mind reading back to see the bargains, as I like seeing what people have been up too :(

but you can have that chat and camaraderie on a 'discussion' thread, leaving the misprices or 1p bargains thread just for exactly that - reporting of actual misprices or 1p items!

yes, but the point being made is that you can have all the chat on a seperate discussion thread.
