Managed to get to mr t's b*is*ol on Monday, found the chilli nuts and still plenty left, also found 4 belgian chocolate puds took 2 and left 2, and got some more glasses, had a right fuss getting them this time though
I was at cs for a good 20 mins, took the lovely girl from cs to show her where the glasses were, was told that the offer is the one on the shelf etc and I said well I didn't look at the sel I looked at the offer on the red stickers on the glasses she then said that these glasses have been a problem and she would have to call the manager, the manager didn't come down so the not so lovely and very young jobsworth boy that works on cs started getting all bossy with the nice lady and me! tried to fob me off with £2 dtd too! Won't go into too much detail but needless to say I stood my ground got the correct amount of dtd and then got some points added from some wombled receipts!!:rotfl:
Thanks and well done on the treasure hinting! Glasses look to be fixed - had a glance at them and could see no stickers! :rotfl:
Silly question but were the belgian choc puds in the usual Finest frozen dessert cabinet (right on the end of an aisle next to the middle aisle), or elsewhere? I haven't checked it in a while as none have materialised for weeks...Elite 5:2 #54 12/13 lbs (18 Jan) 1st Target :j0 -

They were in the finest dessert cabinet at the end of the aisle on the shelf under the strawberry tarts but had no sel or anything they were just sort of stuffed in there, I only spotted them cos I was checking the tarts! I think somebody on the 1p thread has reported that they were going through at £3.50 yesteday though so if you find them may be worth scanning them first to check!0 -
Almost all of these glitches are store specific and down to the laziness of the individual store staff to change the labels when the offer runs out.
Time is not free, Just because certain posters do not work and have extra time to go bargain hunting doesn't mean that time poor people if they find a deal/glitch will not contribute.
I agree that time is not free, I work a 48 hour week, have a family who I spend time with, tesco is a bit of a hobby to me.
Ironically I don't do normal shopping in tesco.
I manage to make time to go to stores when I can, before work, lunchbreaks, days off etc0 -

Yes my baby girl was born at 5.05am Thurs morning(14th July), we have called her Isla.
And I am proud to say I still went to Tesco while I was in the early stages of labour!
I have done a wash load of her clothes this morning in fairy non-bio which I have stashed from the DTD days!
Congrats! My youngest was very nearly called Isla - until the neighbour got their first with her baby! Hope you are doing good. :TPlease, pretty please!:D

I love the discussion and wouldn't like the thread to change... I enjoy reading about the bargains others had and I have a look in my stores for those... Sure everyone can check the ood sels etc. but some are different in different stores(i.e. my local had a normal white sel for the GR dinner set and if someone on here didn't say it is a potential dtd item I would never try it!) or some have no scanners and it's nice to know what they scan for before going to the till
I will be checking the duvet tonight and of course the wine aisle... anyone had any luck with wine today?

Just got a Silentnight Summer Fresh Kingsize 4.5 tog Duvet. SEL £15.00 and £25.00 (For sale in 2 different parts of the store). Scanned through at £30. Not a bad freebie for something I was willing to pay £25 for
The king size SEL was correct but the double was £12.50 on the (white) SEL and scanning at £25.00 so thank you for that spot, one free duvet!!
The CS lady was great but did say that they have a new policy of having the overcharge reviewed and authorised by a manager. Although as it happens he was too busy to come down and did it over the phone as it was such an obvious one. This could be store specific rather than company policy.0 -

Hi, all the wine I scanned despite having OOD sels still scanned at the lower price. Mind you I only tried a couple so someone else may get lucky.0 -
I managed a few freebie wines but like Ochmabobe I found that a lot of the wines scanned at the lower price despite an ood sel.0
