    hi
this is nothing to do with incorrect pricing but need your help
I went to tesco yesterday and got some 4p nappie sacks (for dogs) went to self scan and came up at 27p, called over a guy and we went for a look seems wrong size put infront of 4p offer so i swapped them, he made me feel a fool and i said well if they have a tag of 4p it should refer to the item behind. well got milk nappies and toilet rolls put them in car with things i got from sainsburys
went to pick up partner from work and we gave a friend a lift, partner got in back and moved shopping over. Gets home went to get shopping off back seat and the milk had been leaking ended up all over back of car and my legs when i lifted it out of car. We looked at carton of 2 pinter and you could see somebody had used a stanley knife since part was scored and below that it was cut ,
i have had to clean car and the milk got into the sainsbury food , it was only corned beef and scottish egg for his packed lunch, my purse was full of milk. I then rang tesco to tell them customer services not interested and told me to go back to shop , in busy rush hour asked if i could be transfered to store and i spoke to somebody who was'nt interested I have to go up this morning,
is they any point i was made to feel like a school kid when i rang up but the mess the milk caused i spent a hour cleaning it up.

I reckon these Tesco threads are getting infiltrated by Tesco grad intake stooges, newbies all over the place, most of them easy to spot as stooges, should we be bothered?

I thought it was just me being paranoid and I totally agree, "lots" of newbies on all the relevant Tesco threads, think they may be on a 2 for 1 promotion.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Sorry, I can't be much help, but if nothing else this is a health and safty issuse as the milk had been tampered with. I'm amazed that Tesco didn't do anything about it! I'd ask if they have investigated weather yours was the only item affected and where to go for advice (simply so that they understand that you intend to take it further). Did you keep the original packaging, and is there any of the milk left for testing?

There are people here with much more experiance of dealing with Tesco than me, and I'm sure they'll be able to offer you better advice.

    Good luck!

Milk in your car really stinks for months!:eek::eek::eek::eek:

The only thing that works is bicarbonate of soda. Go buy 3 packs and with the milk area all damp (might need to use water again to get it wet enough, ie try to dab at it again with soapy water) pour all 3 packs of bicarbonate of soda all over the spilt area.

Leave it for a few hours then vacuum it away.

Don't know what Tesco store policy is for this but when my brother worked for sainsburys he told me they would pay to have your car cleaned if something like this ever happened. He told me to give it a go wen my car was a bit dirty once (i didn't, I'd be to scared I was gonna be called a lier. I can hold my own if I'm right but I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to lying to get freebies).

This actually happened to my aunt.
A bottle of milk she bought in Sainsburys leaked in her boot. Sainsburys were most apologetic and paid for a full valet for her car.
    Tesco should do the same!

    almond -

I'd definitely phone HO Freephone no 0800-505555 and explain exactly as you have done for us.

I wonder if you find yourself a little panicked saying these things or getting your mrg across on the phone? The idea is to be calm and polite and gracious at all times. If you are unhappy about any response, just say 'I'm sorry, but I'm not happy about this and I'd like to speak to your manager. I realise you are doing all you can but this must be put right.'

It can all be put in an email or letter to Philip Clarke, CEO - pm suggested text to you en route.

It may help if you have it ready to read off, largely verbatim from your post,

    I am pm-ing you now.:)
