  • new misprice (I think) small purple bags of raisons (found near tinned fruit) pre stickered with 3 for £1, this offer has been going for months but now not triggering on the till.
each bag is around 40p so an over charge of 20p and DTD 40p, not much but its good for me as my dd likes them for her lunch. There are also things like prunes and other fruits in the same bags but i only brough the raisons so not sure if the offer triggers on the others.

I reckon these Tesco threads are getting infiltrated by Tesco grad intake stooges, newbies all over the place, most of them easy to spot as stooges, should we be bothered?

You are 100% entitled to DTD on that. That's how most people get it, when the store hasnt taken down the sel. Everytime I have ever got it the deal has expired and the sel has been left up. If you really don't want to go back in an email will be fine or even give CS a ring and they might send you a giftcard for the difference. Even if you do go back in, remember they have loads of different staff and you are one of thousands of people whose use the store everyday. You would really have to be abusing the system for them to remember you and claiming dtd is definately not doing that. I was a bit scared at first in my local T's and would only complain if it was a store I didnt go into very often. Now I couldnt give a stuff:rotfl:because they are in the wrong and I am in the right:) and I have learnt from MSE to stand up for myself, so go for it;)

You purchased the item on the understanding it was at a £2 discount.
It was clearly promoted as such on the shelf.
It is not the customers duty to check that their promotions are current. It is the responsibility of the store.
    You were therefore overcharged.
Ring the 0800 number on the contact us page on the official site.
All the best with your complaint. Hopefully it will also result in the informing of customer service staff in your store too (for next time ;) )!

thanks to everyone, especially the two replies above; i will definitely be ringing the number on the customer services page to complain. it seems ridiculous for them to have a policy and then to act as though you are doing something wrong by asking for that policy to be implemented! made me feel a bit like i was trying to steal from the company or something! i'll report back as to how it goes when i ring them after work tomorrow...

Clothes Golden Rule: Never pay full price unless it is an utter bargain in the first place!
Sales, boots, charity shops, ebay- why would anyone ever pay full price for anything??!

Thanks and will do. I'm going to call them in the morning and tell them im coming in to get a copy of the notes, not asking, that will give them some time to run over to staples!

What you do is completely up to you, but I would think about what you want as an outcome from this. I can see the book getting "lost" if you give them advance notice. I'd be tempted to email HO, stating what you saw and saying you're considering making a data protection request, then treat their first offer like an insurance first offer - "thanks, but I think its worth more....."

During R&R, it was well known that tesco HO employees regularly monitored the threads (Hello Kevin Kelly, I'm talking about you - the 360 is still going strong, thanks for asking)

I think it means Refund & Retain. I've no idea what these items were though.

When they had their refund and retain policy, the xbox 360 had aSEL of £279 but went through the check out at £299 so people got a free xbox.

That's another one that's fallen by the wayside though. Tesco seem to have a habit of implementing policies that they simply haven't thought through :rotfl:
