Same for me - was excited that I found one marked up at £15 (with 1/2 price sticker). I have been looking for ages - unfortunately it scanned at £15 (so decided to leave it with the cashier)!
    Got some harpics instead!

went to tesco today to purcahse pantene shampoo and conditioner as i had a £ 1 off each coupon from ssm credit cruch deal. picked up smooth and sleek 500ml shampoo and conditioner ( slightly smaller)
£3.97 each but on buy 1 get 1 free. my coupon wouldnt go through till so had it taken off and went to cs.

glitch on system it goes through as 2 for £5 taking £ 2.94 off then the bogof gomes off taking another £ 3.97 off
so total saving of £ 6.91 paid £1.03 for both
( she gave me the £2 for coupon back in cash) said i was going to go back for more but she said that would be pushing my luck.

I found this one yesterday on my receipt just as they closed! Went today to try it but half price SELs had been removed and went through at 2 for £5; guess we were just lucky with two offers overlapping

Just wanted to share my first DTD's today :)

I got these, 1 each of the aqua light's and 2 of the colour protect, and neither the 2 for £5 or the bogof came up on the receipt.

This means I was charged £3 each, and should have been £3.97 for two. Making DTD of 8.12 on the 4, so I paid a total of 97p each! :D

    Here's the barcodes:

    Aqua light shampoo: 5011321962279
    Aqua light conditioner: 5011321844889
    Colour protect conditioner: 5013965787997

On top of that, I got some stripy tumblers with the 4 for £3 stickers, but they came up at full price.

just to make you aware there is a specific team FMC/ price integrity whose job it is to go in early morning / change over time to remove old offers and add new ones.
they come in to a print out of sels to put out along with check hanging boards, posters and scales for correct weight.

Its only if they are not on the ball, that you may find something but i wouldnt go early morning especially to do it.

I looked everywhere for the mega blocks and went to about 8 shops in the end with no luck. then, on thursday, while doing my normal shop (in a store i had checked and go into daily) i found 2 megablocks while searching for the ballerina/cars tins. SEL said £12, price sticker said £15 and till said £30. got £72 back for 2 boxes. was over the moon. then, today, was looking for the 1p thorntons chocolates, when i found 2 more megablocks (in a different store). SEL and till said £30 but sticker said £15. got £60 back . I love Mr T sometimes.

  • So after being refused DTD, I emailed customer services and received the following reply today:

    Hello XXXX.

Firstly I apologise for my delayed response.

I’m sorry to learn of the problem you had when you visited our XXX Metro store recently. I can appreciate how disappointing this must’ve been for you.

Before I continue, I wish to assure you that we still offer double the difference refunds on mistakes of this nature. What has happened with being charged £15.17 and not £10.11 as the label stated is a dictionary definition of an overcharge.

As to why my colleagues only provided £5.06 as a refund and stated that the double the difference policy was no longer valid is a mystery. Rest assure, I’ve logged this complaint back to the Store Management Team to review and provide retraining to the Customer Service Desk Team on our policies.

However, this still means that you are due another £5.06. Please can you send me your name and address details and I’ll send you a Tesco Moneycard to make up the difference due to you.

I do hope that, despite the problems you've faced, you'll continue to shop with us, giving us the chance to provide the excellent service you've come to expect and so rightly deserve to receive.

Thank you for contacting Tesco and I look forward to your response.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact me at customer.service@tesco.co.uk quoting X.

    Kind Regards
