hi went to tesco's today to try and get some of the 1p Roses but no luck
- did some shopping of the offers instead and picked up the Robinsons Fruit Shoots (hydro ones) which were on offer 2 for £4.50. The normal fruit shoots were also on offer at 2 for £4.00 - till took off both discounts so x16 bottles of fruit shoots for £2.72! Will be going back for more later when hubby gets home! Not a huge bargain like the 1p finds but enough of a saving for me
Great find thanks, hope its still working tomorrow :T0 -

Our store have also now turned around and told people like you to sling it.....if its in your basket you pay whats on the ticket. They won't entertain knocking down stuff that people try handing them.
They even stopped it all together after a couple of ladies were almost brawling in the aisle over some 10p strawberries.
Its pathetic....times are hard but please, lets keep our self respect!
My freezers are rammed with joints of beef for less than a quid and packs of 20p sausages and every week all my bread, fruit, veg and salad comes for pence and has done for years. I for one won't be happy if the greedy selfish bunch wreck this like they wrecked tesco points collecting and MOC usage.

That's ok, you're entitled to your opinion.:D Like I say, it's dog eat dog, certainly in my Tescos, and don't worry, I only go once a week and have a tiny freezer so I'm not spoiling it for anyone. I was shocked when I saw this behaviour, I think I will try thelurch's suggestion and raid the rude people's trolleys instead!:rotfl::starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:0 -

I noticed two people hovering around the poor reduction staff, shoving stuff under their noses one after the other, the SAs were getting visibly annoyed. I stook back smiling sweetly, and waiting, guess what, the SAs took my stuff from me and served me first.:D When I got to the till, the two rude people were actually together:mad:
In my local tescos they stoped reducing stuff at the end of the night because of simular behaviour of certain ethnic group.
They took all the stuff, 'forced' staff to reduce it for them and were pretty aggressive at time, going as far as 'snaching' things out of peoples baskets / hands- true story .

That's definately a soap box moment!:rotfl: I don't deliberately do it, I always check the reduced stuff first and put in the trolley what I want. Then before I go to the checkout I go and find the reducing man if he's about and ask politely if they are being reduced any further. If he says no or he's not about then I buy them anyway because I've only picked up what I want. I do know what you're talkindg about as they do it in my store, load their trolley to the hilt and then hassle the poor reducing man. Because I'm polite and stand back my man always come to me first, manners cost nothing:)In my T's when it comes to reducing it's dog eat dog without a doubt!!!!!lolBeware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
A nice SA in one of my store noticed one day that I had some reduced stuff in my basket and told me they reduce them about 8 each night but "be prepared you may need spikes in your elbows, they get vicious" :rotfl::j First mini munchkin due 05/04/2013 :j0

Would the ethnic group be of the kind who run takeaways? Back in the days that I worked for a certain supermarket, it was a group of Chinese folk who used to hassle the reductions guy. I was always grateful that wasn't my job!
Jeez, in the days before that certain supermarket took over the local chain I worked in, the only rugby scrum used to be the guy bringing out bread on Xmas Eve. Now it's every day at reduction time!!
Will be keeping an eye out for the Robinsons Hydro. How I missed that I don't know as trying to keep up with this thread and the 1p thread is a full time job in itself :rotfl:0 -
I did some Glasto shopping earlier today and got some Tesco Value Wet Wipes (Baby Wipes) which I seem to remember had the SEL of 36p. I looked at my receipt after and they had gone through at 18p. Not much of a saving but it's technically a misprice :j
If someone with access to a price scanner could confirm this one, it would be great - it might just be my local screwing things up (again)Elite 5:2 #54 12/13 lbs (18 Jan) 1st Target :j0
