In the Huntingdon Tesco, 'Cuponk' (Incredibly fun Throw The Ball In The Cup game) was up at half price but scanning at full - got DTD after a little grumbling. CS removed the SEL afterwards however.

Barcode: 53569495949 - No idea if nationwide.

I've been in and out of Mr T's all week getting the Dove 5p deodorants and always pick up a couple of extra bits while I'm there, the other day I bought some tesco bran flakes and on opening them this morning I found a dried wasp!!! I couldnt believe it, put me right off my cereal! I'm going to take the wasp and cereal back to Mr T later to see what they have to say, anyone have any idea on if they give you compensation for this sort of thing and how much? I dont want to seem moneygrabbing but it's not exactly what I expect to see first thing in the morning!!

so happy, just back from tesco bought 4 boxes of tesco finest belgian chocs sel said £1.25 but went through at £5.00, lovely lady at customer services gave me £30 dtd without me asking, and removed the sel. 4 boxes of chocs and £10 extra wow, few more left but i didn't have the guts to take those too.

    Hi All,

I had been keeping an eye on the sel's in my store as I have been told they only have one lady to do the whole store and she often leaves labels that should be removed.

Any how last night I bought 3 x4packs of princes tuna that was on offer for £4 untill 12pm tuesday but sells not remoeved. I promptly went to cs who asked me to show her and then kindly offered tom let me have them at the £4 price. She soon changed her pleasent tone when i asked for dtd and quoted the sign behind her.

    £20.97 paid
    £17.94 dtd refund
£3.06 final cost of 12 tins of tuna

The sel still says £4 this morning but didnt want to push my luck, so happy shopping anyone who might like to pop into Brockworth store : )

take photographs first, as, if you take them back, they will take the item and (possibly) give you no compensation. so at least take photos so that you can send them to tesco head office if the worst happens. I always find the people in stores not very helpful but whenever i write/ring head office, they ALWAYS send me a gift voucher. i would definatley ask to speak to the manager as well, as he has more power than the normal CS staff. Although I don't think they will give anything to be honest, as they didnt package the cereal - kellogs or whoever did. so i think you might be better writing to them instead. they will (more than likely) send you a bag to send the wasp back in and then do an enquiry. HTH

What sort of compensation do you think you should get? Were you injured or suffer psychologically? I certainly think you should receive a full refund and maybe a replacement product accompanied by an apology. It's a sign of the times in this 'Where there's blame there's a claim' society that unfortunately people do seem to be money grabbing.:(

For anyone who hasn't noticed, now the fuss has died down from the glitch this morning, there are some overcharge misprice opportunities around in relation to the 2 for £16 / 3 for £20 offer on packs of beer.

Basically they've been rolling this offer on for a while, but from today the following packs are no longer part of the offer:

    San Miguel 15 x 275ml bottles - now £12.00 each
    Stella (5%) 10 x 440 cans - now £9.00 each
    Budweiser (5%) 10 x 440 cans - now £9.00 each

However, with stacks of these packs dotted around stores with the 2 for £16 / 3 for £20 signage on, some stores haven't removed the above packs. For example in my local store, they had a sign on a stack which included the packs of San Miguel. Buy 3 of these packs and get charged £36 = an overcharge of £16 = a DTD refund of £32 = 45 bottles for a net outlay of £4.00. Even cheaper than the glitch!

Don't suppose anyone has checked if this is still working today?
