hi all..can any1 help me with this one pls? I've been barred from my local tesco home plus 4 trying 2 claiming dtd 4 a phone which had £20 off a £40 spend in store. The offer didnt kick in so supervisor offered 2 refund £20 which i declined. She tried telling me that this was not a mis price just k promo so no dtd. I have a meeting set up with store manager next week but would like 2 go in armed with a few facts. Can any1 advise me on this pls?

I got banned from a Tesco back in the days of R&R, I would DEFINATELY go and have the meeting with the store manager, they may have someone from security in the meeting as well (I had a chap who called himself head of security in my meeting)

They made me feel like a criminal in this meeting (or should I say, they TRIED to make me feel like a criminal)

Keep calm and remember that trading standards would be on your side of the table if they were there, keep that in mind and you'll be fine. You could even press for a goodwill gesture out of the manager (if you dont get one from the manager, get on to head office)

Email Tesco CS and get something confirmed from them regarding the DtD policy, print this email out and take it with you.

Let us know how you get on, they shouldnt be allowed to get away with banning people for wanting to take them up on their own policy.

It must have been quite a heated debate for them to ban you have never heard of that over DTD

Just because you've never heard of it, doesnt mean it doesnt happen!

I got banned from a local Tesco with NO debate, I had just got my refund from CS and one of the security guards came over and told me to leave and not come back into the store, I asked why and he said he had been told by the general manager of the store to ask me to leave because I was suspected of fraud...

Thats how heavy handed these jumped up McDonalds managers can be over trying not to enforce their own company policy.

Exactly correct, just recently i had a ban placed on me, one email to ceo offices and i have recieved full apology, ban lifted, staff retrained, giftcard and a upcoming meeting with store gm to discuss matter personally. Some tesco staff are just generally rude and to be fair do not outweigh the hardworking decent staff of which there are plenty.

Couple ahead of me had this nice DTD -
Gillette Fusion Razor, with lots of extra heads in a column on left-hand side of a blister pack. Headed in big lettering on orange headline banner - special offer, £11 off. Pack size overall, approx. 20cm square.

En bref, their pack had gone through at £31!!! Should have been £20, so DTD of £22 meant cost @ £9.

I went back to check and saw them on end-of-aisle display hods.

Still seems a lot to me, but there you go - I un-bloke, girly moi.

Well yeah, but you would get charged £62 initially. But buy other things too, don't make it obvious that you are only after the DTD as some CS are trolls.
