    Whenever they send those questionaires it asks what they could do to make us shop there more and I always say 'more CC vouchers'. I have stopped doing 90% of my shoppping at Tesco and I am sure I am not alone. Everything I bought used to come from T's, now I shop around and go elsewhere.

    I do think they have realised that people want the CC vouchers, while they made billions pre-tax profits they had actually lost some of their custom and there was a rise at the other stores - I am sure that must sting. I think they have realised they messed up bu getting rid of CC points.

    A big relaunch is due and more offers will be made, TL was talking about this when the profits were announced. Obviously I am not the only one going elsewhere now.

    ClubCard vouchers :eek::eek::eek:

    I just hope they are not going to relaunch clubcard with some minor incentive to use your cc vouchers at the till...or to join their stupid Christmas savers thingy...whilst slowly doing away with the real Deals like holidays, days out, Goldsmiths etc. Really hope our points can still be converted to Merlin passes et al after this relaunch. We shall see.

    I've got almost £1000 saved for Butlins this summer so they had better let us use them for those. I do not think we'll be going otherwise.

    Ahhh so this is why Tesco have made massive price increases compared to other supermarkets.

    B... hell, how much do you spend there to have this much points?? (I obviously realise that you only need £250 vouchers... but still!!!)

    Thats the trick tho.... last year when Motorpoint were in the deals, some of us saved over £8500 in deals to buy a car..........this says we should have spent £850,000....but because of all the points flying about, it was done in a matter of months (and spending very little money).........using multiple account of course............. (some got more than one car)
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

    But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

    Like many people, you are thinking that points collectors have to spend a heck of a lot to accumulate a high points total. We don't - I confidently bet that I spend shedloads less money than the average customer does.

    I spend a few pounds a week at the most (after deduction of various money off coupons).
    Last year we used our points for Merlin Annual Passes for the six of us (normally costing £150 per person), other Days Out and Restaurant vouchers - and a holiday in France. The year before it was a holiday in Lanzarote...and I am not the best/keenest points collector by any means.

    The most successful points collectors make repeated use of Extra points offers, either against particular products (like Johnson's talc when there was an old points offer on instore, worth more than the cost of the smallest talc...) or by other special offers like recycling print cartridges/mobile phones for points.

    That's just part of the story. Have a look at the threads dedicated to boosting your clubcard points and Tesco voucher codes, etc and you'll find the keenest collectors who have bought brand new cars with their points!*

    *edit: sadly, Motorpoint pulled out of Deals pretty sharpish when they realised people had enough points to buy a car or two outright...so you can't buy a car now...
