Bah, went to Asda to post a parcel (There's a little Post Office in our Asda) and bought things. Bad Fresian!
I hadn't bought eggs in Morrisons as they weren't cheep (heh!) enough and there was no reduced bread so I left that too.
In Asda I bought:
6 eggs for £1, bread reduced to 60p, chicken reduced to £1.81 (For two breasts) and Felix catfood as it's two for a fiver and my cats only eat Whiskas under protest.
So, another £8.41 to the list. *sigh*

Well I think I am getting better, I am definately getting closer to target each month.

Got my daughters birthday party and family BBQ to cater for as well. :eek:Debt: 5 November 2017 = £10,399

Had my Mr A delivery today, £73.39 (have updated sig) and now my cupboards are groaning under the weight of all the pasta, teabags and toilet rolls!!
Freezer is also full, so unless I've forgotten some essential ingredient for dinner for the next few days, I shouldn't need to spend any more, although my month doesn't end until Sunday.
Was pretty happy with my delivery (lots of offers this time, as well as a free delivery code, ta MSE) but my bag of mixed peppers contained a completely rotten one which had disintegrated all over everything in the same carrier bag (I can still smell it now). Phoned to complain, and they've refunded the peppers, but still had to wash all the other food. Have used some of the peppers in tonights dinner, and will try to use the others tomorrow, as they're definitely not long for this world, but I won't waste them as they were free!! :rotfl:

Hey everyone,
Not really been updating my grocery bits on here. Had a big adding up session today
I aimed for £70 food/£15 household/£10 toiletries so far i'm at
£66.60/£9.80/£3.12 so total grocery spend of £81.26/£95 I will declare officially on Friday! :j Might need a bit of fruit/salad before then.
Out of my food budget £15.54 was spent on fruit and veg, including a few whoopsie bits! Also we bought 28 pints of milk! There are only two of us! £30.63 of the £75 food budget was on milk, bread, fruit and veg! So lived quite well off the supplies in the freezer/cupboards.
Will do my meal planner for June and shopping list and set my June target in the next couple of days and let you know Mrs Mc. Really chuffed with myself this month
LMMS:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j
:jSecond menace arrived safely 13th February 2014 :jDebt Free Wannabee 20150 -
Just updating signature with today's grocery shopping. I won't declare yet as it's my Mum's birthday on Friday and I'm doing a buffet lunch and birthday cake for her as a surprise0

Well my budgeting went straight out the window this month! OH and I sat down and worked out our finances and I am determined not to spend much this month, Im ok if I don't go into a shop but as soon as I do I seem to lose all control!! Have plenty in the freezer / cupboard so will just need to buy fruit/veg/bread/milk. Lately at the carboot there has been someone selling 3 loaves of kingsmill for £1 so will get some if they are there at the weekend!
Could you please put me down for £75 this month please, there is two of us and this will include food/household/toiletories although we have plenty of the last two so should need anything! Also mum said she will help restock our freezer bless her! I have a £10 sainsburys voucher and a £10 M&S voucher, also some nss coupons and tesco coupons but any of these I use will still be taken off the £75 budget as I don't actually have £75 cash to spend this month! Also have a couple of the £5 off a £30 spend at Morrisons coupons which will come in handy!
Meal Plan:
Tonight - hm fishcakes
Tomorrow - jacket pots (tuna/beans/cheese)
Fri - Pizza hut (using 50% off voucher!)
Sat - Salmon (from tmf!!) mash, veg
Sun - Roast pork, roast pots, veg, parsnips
Mon - pasta bake (using chicken soup & sweetcorn)
Tues - chilli meatballs & rice
Wed - Pork chop, pots & veg
Thurs - Bella Italia / Cafe Rouge (using vouchers from surveys etc!!)
Fri - Turkey Korma & rice
Sat - Turkey fajitas
Sun - Roast
So all I need to get this week is:
Carrots, broccoli, parsnips, bread, crumpets, ham, milk and eggs, but we will see how it goes![STRIKE]CC1: £354.35 / £354.35[/STRIKE]
CC2: £390 / £1475.98
Boiler: £1500 / £2500
[STRIKE]Overdraft: £1000 / £1000[/STRIKE]
Emergency Fund : £200 -
I went to the shops with OH three times this month which means I don't know and I don't want to know how much we have overspent. But I do know it's a LOT.
I'll draw a line under it and be good next month. Mrs Mc can you add me in for £100 in June. This is for groceries only for two adults.Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

decided against fighting with the courtesy bus to Mr M (forgot to phone yesterday to check I'd be OK with my shopping trolley, after being told last week I should 'pre-book it on'), so bobbed up to the local Mr T. No signs to say they were honouring the Mr M vouchers, so I went and asked at Customer Services -- result, 'cos they are :T If they hadn't have been I'd have nipped into the next town, which has a larger Mr M than the one the courtesy bus goes to (and which I found a bit 'stock restrictive' last week).
Not so good in that I'd gone with a £31 shopping list (based on their web prices last night) and a £5 fall back item - only to find they didn't have almost £13 worth of what was on my main list  (Not helped by the fact they're in the middle of a refit I didn't know anything about - and the larger one the other side of us is apparently even worse stocked as they're in a 'temporary store' while a major refit and extension is happening there too !!!)
Managed to subsitute a couple of items for cheaper options, then added a few more stock-pile bits not on my list to my trolley, doubled up on a couple of items that were on the list, and picked up my back up item.
I'd totted up to £30.75 before the voucher (including £6.85 of shopping for DD), but it went through the till at £31.15 - so I promptly pulled to one side to check the receipt. If I'm out by £1 that's normally my arithmetic (forgetting to 'carry one'), but 40p seemed strange. Turned out the ice-cream (shelf ticket had £1.36 crossed out and marked as on offer at £1) went through at £1.40. So that meant another trip to Customer Services :rolleyes2
The lady went and checked the shelf, and apparently the offer finished yesterday (should now be £1.40 or 2 for £2 according to the web site - and I don't have freezer space for 2 just now). Anyway, 'cos the ticket was still up they honoured the offer - and gave me back double what they'd over-charged me, meaning the 2 litre of mint choc chip ice-cream requested by DS ended up costing me just 60p :T
So I've just added another £13.57 to my signature (the back-up item at £4.93 comes out of a different budget as it's a non-food item), which has taken me past the £100 mark - and I had hoped to stay under that this month. May nip out later for more milk too (cheaper at A!di, and I want a couple more B'nut Squash from there, and DD wants some satsumas). Not tooooo worried about reaching '3 figures' though, as a lot I've bought in the last 6 days won't even be started this month - I'm just stock-piling while I have some money to do so and the Mr M vouchers to stretch the money even furtherCheryl0
