they are a bunch of idiots at this place!!! i saw the code and tried to order a wii online, it wouldnt go through, so i rang up and spoke to someone, (a girl) she said it doesnt work on electricals, i aid there is nothing in the T&C's to say this, and she went to check and said it "should" say it, i said "it does not" (couldnt make it clearer.) i took a screen print in case they change things and said my friends have placed orders and gone through fine, just because they forgot to put correct t&c's up shouldnt stop my order.
i thought i would have another go, and spoke to a very nice bloke who knew the code and said will put my order through the system ,will take full price, as soon as i receive goods and want to keep them i phone up and they`ll refund the 30% and i asked him if he would put a note on, which he said "yes he would do so"
i received today, rang them and got refund actioned, then got call from bank - bare with me a bit, it goes on, sorry, bank says fraudulant transactions taken place in S. africa, and card cancelled, and will send a new one, so (took a bit to register) i realise refund wont go through, and will bounce back, additions wont find it, and i wont get the money, i rang up asking them to hold from doing refund until new card arrives, again a girl (could have been same one, nice voice, young) she then tells me refund wont happen as not on electricals, i told her, "dont worry, its all been oked by gary yesterday, that is reason i ordered (only reason) and i have a screen print of terms and conditions which dont mention not on electricals" she was adamant it wont happen, and i couldnt give mey usual bit of abuse and call her an absolute retard as im at work, but will do tonight.

be warned though, these people are obviously going to try and not honour the deal.
really pee's me off, its simple and they make things so difficult.

To be fair I think most people on mse know that the Littlewoods group are well known for not honouring their deals and codes - I think most don't order unless they are prepared for a chargeback or to return the goods - it's such a gamble

I appear to have recieved my goods on this occasion with the discount but I'm not counting my chickens - I wouldn't put it past them to try a chargeback claiming that electricals weren't in the deal (although they changed the T&C's of the offer)
Come to think of it - good way to get people spending thousands on your website on electrical goods thinking they are getting discounted prices and hope that people won't return once they get charged full amount - I really hope not :eek:

I think in the past, they have made chargebacks where they claim people weren't entitled to use a particular code, i.e. it wasn't sent to them directly. But this time the code was available to all new customers, so they can't use that. It would be useful if someone had a screen dump of the T&Cs from before they changed them. I've already opened the ipod I bought so they probably won't accept it back if they do a chargeback and I decide to return it!

They are not honouring any electricals that haven't already been despatched by the looks of the posts on hot deals

They really are a bunch of crooks - fingers crossed this time - as you say this wasn't a targetted code

When I ordered my DSI they said they would put a note on my account that I would contact them when I received the goods and I would get the discount refunded - this was yesterday. Just got the DSI today and phoned ready to plead my case but there was no problem and the money has been credited back to my card - 4-5 working days (Will check it does actually go back on in 5 days!).

One of the lucky ones who will have a very happy birthday boy in a few weeks time. Sorry to those who missed out.... they'll always be another deal thanks to this website!

right - ordered a tomtom go 530 off additions, tried the 30% code - didnt work:mad:

BUT

phoned them to say code wasnt working & he said only way he could do it was to pay full price, phone up when order received and get them to manually remove it. he said he put a note on the system instructing them to do it. he asked if i wanted to go ahead, i said only if you can guarantee that, cause im only buying it because of the discount...

should receive friday...fingers crossed i dont have grief when i phone up.....:D
