I was charged the discounted price in one transaction, and the postage in a second. Paid by creditcard.

Weird - I called them as they took the full amount straight away & a manager explained to me how their system works as per post above.

Can you still use this or has it expired?

    Although it now clearly says

*This discount is available to new customers only and may be used once to obtain 30% discount on your first order (excluding electrical items).

sat nav i got is faulty, phoned up & theyre sending replacement and picking up faulty one. meanwhile, theyve charged another £200 to my account til they receive faulty one in order to credit my account. but original invoice was £140 inc. discount!

hope im not gonna be landed with a £200 bill instead of £140

sorry to bump this, but to clear up the last few posts of people saying only charrged the discounted amount - this is what they told me would happen if you ordered online, (by using the code, they are honouring those orders) its the ones that ordered by phoning up and a rep putting order through saying they`ll get 30% off that is causing problems.
Additions are saying when the code stopped working the terms were changed, but they 100% were not changed (or not changed externally anyway) so we as customers read the terms prior to them including the "excluding electrical" bit.

I fought them and won, i received my refund, was told it is a cheque but looks like i got it as a additions credit? although will try them again to clarify, as there prices are much higher then high street, so have no intention of ordering from them again. but would really like a £50 cheque from them :)

Still trying to extract my 30% refund from Additions. When I spoke to them a couple of weeks ago they were putting the refund through. Bank account shows all the debits have gone out but no refund. Phoned again today and they tried to say it doesn't apply to electricals so I said its all on record that they agreed the discount right from the start and that they changed their terms and conditions - anyway have now agreed to refund - takes up to 5 working days - but will be checking that this actually goes through this time!
