Thanks Benjy - will be in touch for the screenshot if they do a chargeback. I ordered my ipod Monday night, and I fulfilled all of the T&Cs, such as being a new customer, so fingers crossed!0

would a tomtom be classed as an electrical item?? tia0

Thanks Benjy - I wish I had thought of saving a screen shot. I will definitely contact you should there be a problem. My order went through at 10am on 28th April, I am a new customer so I have fulfilled my side of the bargain! I am sure they must realise this and that is why so many people had cards declined - it was a good way to slow down (stop) the electrical orders. I was trying to order my laptop from about 9.15am - so it took nearly an hour and phonecalls to my CC company to finally proceed.0

The 30% discount code is not valid on any electrical items. You can use the code but if someone sees it used on electrical your order will either be scrapped or charged full amount0

Monkeygirl31 - When many of us ordered the site clearly advertised the offer as 30% off first order. There was absolutely no mention of an exclusion on electricals. Once the seller has taken money from you and delivered the item they have absolutely no right to take more money just because they made a mistake with the wording on their website. There was no fraudulent use of discount code because it was clearly displayed on their website to all first time orders.0

right - ordered a tomtom go 530 off additions, tried the 30% code - didnt work:mad:
BUT
phoned them to say code wasnt working & he said only way he could do it was to pay full price, phone up when order received and get them to manually remove it. he said he put a note on the system instructing them to do it. he asked if i wanted to go ahead, i said only if you can guarantee that, cause im only buying it because of the discount...
should receive friday...fingers crossed i dont have grief when i phone up.....:D
UPDATE...received tomtom yesterday, phoned up straight away to get discount applied (as instructed) and spoke to a girl. she applied the discount without hassle but says she would have to get it approved later by her manager before processing.
..just checked my online invoice today and discount HAS been applied!
..so..got a £200 tomtom for £140! not bad! (not that i needed one in the first place!) :beer:0 -
Just to let you all know both Wiis were delivered next day with no problems. Just looking at my bank account and they have only charged me for the 2 Wiis and delivery. I haven't received any cancellation of orders so I am presuming they don't take the monies out until they deliver the item. Hmm will be keeping a close eye on this one.0

Just a quick word of advice about them.... use a code & pay with a credit card & they charge the full amount once dispatched then refund the 'code' amount once delivered. However.... pay with a debit card & they take the full amount when you place your order then refund the 'code' amount once delivered......... My item isnt due for another 8 weeks yet full amount already taken!!0

Their terms and conditions now read:"This discount is available to new customers only and may be used once to obtain 30% discount on your first order (excluding electrical items). The percentage discount will apply to goods bought up to a maximum value of £500. Offer ends 30th June 2009. We reserve the right to withdraw this offer at any time."

Not so for me. I paid using a debit card and only the discounted amount has been taken.0
