    Hi there John

How did you go about getting the work delivering phone books? I haven't got a part time/second job, but have been thinking about getting myself sorted with one.

Whenever unwanted salesmen came to the door and asked questions like that my 'ol dad would always say "Royal Coronation Souvenir Book seller"

I work for DEYA. They advertised in local free papers a few yeasr back and contact me every time there is a new book out.

They pay different rates for different roads. My main route is 500 books at 17p a book and takes 4 hours. I do a fe wothers as well and it depends on what they have left on what I do and dont take. A block of flats near me of 200 flats paind £35ook 1 hour to do.

keep an eye on the local press

Well I was up until last week an Ann Summers party organiser, but as next term I'll have to work full time to earn the money to move house, I've had to give it up (it wasnt relaiable enough income for me) but as I drive I'm thinking delivery might be a good option for a few nights a week :)

    Found This.

Click on jobs nd contact them i guess, I know i will be!
  • i have 1 full time job and i also work part time for a bookies!

money isnt brilliant but its easy work. i'm contracted to work 6hrs a week and its very flexible for me as i choose the days that i want to work. and if i cant do my contracted hours one week, then i just offer to work 2days another week and they pretty much agree to it!! :D

i use my part time job mainly as a form of savings. when the company decided to go public, they offered us to do sharesave in which u can save money every month for a certain length of time. when that time is up you can choose to take yr savings or purchase shares at a predetermined price.

so if the current market value of the shares is higher that the agreed purchase price, then you buy the shares, sell it on and make a profit. ;)

if however, the current market value of the shares is lower than the agreed purchase price, then u can opt to just take the savings with its bonuses! :D

    either way its win-win!!!! :j

every year i opt to do shareshave for 3 yrs. so majority of my wages go towards that and basically normally only get bout £20 each month to spend!!

ah well....it'll all be worth it in the end when i become debt free!!!

I have a 2nd job in a leisure centre as a receptionist, not only do I earn money, but I also get to use all the facilities for free!!! So free gym, swim, aerobics etc. saves me loads of money and I only have to work 1 shift a mth if I want.

Have just got a 3rd job as a Youth Supervisor for 12 ph plus mileage, haven't started yet, but can't wait to!
Became debt free in 2007 after having £15k of debt. Have been a stranger to MSE and now want to get back into my old MSE habits and save, save, save

For anyone considering doing takeaway deliveries-

Indian takeaways will by far get you the biggest tips.
Next would be chinese, then pizza.
Sometimes I feel like a pelican. Whichever way I turn, I've still got an enormous bill in front of me.
  • I deliver pizza's 6 nights a month.

Really easy work and free pizza too :D

Clear about £250 a month, sometimes more sometimes less which I think is pretty good as the shop doesn't stay open until stupid o'clock.

In the past I've worked as a driver for the GP's out of hours service driving GP's to home visits - Sometime's you'd be busy, sometimes I wouldn't budge from in front of the telly! Just depends... but the service has to be there just in case

I've been a census collector in the past, that was easy money and I'll do it again next time it comes round if I get chance.
