Hello, well 5 months in and all going well....
July: Halifax account which was frozen, is now defrosted by the OR, and anything in my account I can have. So close the account, so now one Barclays account. Also notified that my interest in my house is no longer mine but has been transferred to the trustee of my bankrupt estate.
August: Got a letter from one of my creditors, Virgin MBNA, stating that my account is to be closed, but I need to pay the full balance off before the end of the month, in big bold underlined writing, here's the best bit, if I don't pay it, they will close the account for good, as they are aware of my situation. Did I pay it? er...nope
Cancel my water rates, with the house I use to live in, get credit back from them, and the OR is happy for me to have it, if it is paid into my account, if by cheque they want it, guess what? paid by BACS, so get to keep it ....also no longer unemployed, OR notified, needs the first full months payslip
September: Had a letter sent from my OR stating that they are looking at a possible early discharge, and requested for an uptodate SoA, due to me now being back in employment. This was sent back, and asked if I could save £100 per month towards a car, and £100 for a deposit towards my own place, leaving £63 disposable income. The OR agreed to £50 per month for both, and we have agreed to an IPA of £53 per month for the next 3 years, this does not bother me as it was part of my debt I am here, so don't mind paying my bit back.
October: Spoke about being in credit with my Gas and Electric, as want to cancel it, OR happy with the amounts in credit, asks what it would be used for, I say its towards a car, OR says no problem you keep it, just need to send in a statement of gas/electric bill for them to keep on file.
So that's the latest so far, my letters from creditors have all but dried up, only get ones from Lloyds TSB, saying I have overdraft charges. My house which was going to be repossessed has been deferred, as the ex is trying to sell it, she keeps barking on that I am responsible for any short fall, as its in negative equity, for which I keep telling her I am not, and read the print that I keep showing her.....ho hum.
So my fellow May Club and MSE friends, that's me at the moment....very happy its moving along smoothly, and now have to wait for about 8 weeks to find out if I get an early discharge.

Afternoon all,
Novembers news: The IPA has been agreed, and the IPA for my NT code has also been officially 'stamped'. So with both being agreed, the next proccess was for Moon Beaver Solicitors to contact me. They only have the IPA agreement for the NT code, speaking to them they said they had nothing on the 3 year IPA, but no problem as they will contact the OR. As some of you may know, they require payslips to be sent, to see for any increase in income and to check on the NT coding, for which to this date the NT has not yet been applied. Moon Beaver are happy for me to send the slips in PDF format through e-mail, every month, until they say other wise.
I am still waiting for any more news regards early discharge, but I am quite happy with how it is all going. The 'old' house has finally found a buyer and that should be going through before Xmas.
So, thats the latest and for us May clubbers we are over half way through the 12 months! I guess my next update will be in 2010, so Happy Christmas to you all, may it be a little bit better than last years, I know mine will be.

Only me....
Well not much has happened, since that last entry. The sale of the house was completed the week before christmas, sold for negative equity. My ex is still playing silly !!!!!!s, not wanting to accept that she is liable for any shortfall, so is refusing to agree to the consent order from our divorce, but has set up an agreement to the mortgage provider to pay it back, yeah clear as mud!
Anyway, for the past 2 months no letters from LloydsTSB about bank charges, so thats no letters from any creditors for the first time. Still sending out my payslips to MB, as still waiting for the NT code, only 2 more months then the financial year is over, and no news about the early discharge.
Also I have not recived anything further about my IPA, but making sure that I am leaving the £53 alone each month, and just let it build up, ready for when thay ask for it.
What a difference a year makes, this time last year it was all kicking off, and going to pot, not knowing where to go and what to do. Then my partner showed me this site, then it started to become a bit clearer. Now I am really happy, everything is clear and I have a future.
Hopefully next update will be May 5th - discharge day.

So It's almost at an end (DRO's) for you guys any news?
was going to post for the April 2009 people but don't think there is a thread for them0 -
debrag,
Im still here
, but been busy of late. Not a DRO for me, but BR, and less than one week to go before my AD :j (fingers crossed). Latest happenings are....Now that the financal year has now ended for which my BR was petitioned, the NT has now finished, saying that I was never put on to a NT, but Moon Beaver have notified me to stop sending in my wage slips. Still waiting though for my IPA to kick in, so just keep leaving the money in the bank.
Looking at me now, and to me this time last year, I am gob smacked to how much my life has turned around, and everything is now going in the right direction. But have not forgotten as to why I got in this mess in the first place, and will NEVER get into that mess again.
4 days to go and counting....or even better 106 hours to go!

I am currently looking forward to the 5th May when i become Ad- All in all it has been a good BR year- Apart from MOONBEVER messing up on my repayments-.
I checked with them in March to ask what i had left to pay, i was told a figure which i settled on the said date. I was told that a letter would follow etc, After waiting 3 wks no letter i call them to ask why. To my shock horror i was then told that i had one more payment to make. I could not belive what i was hearing etc, as i am now back paying the said tax etc. i AM BROKENAGAIN as i was thinking i have followed the letter to the rule been good, did everything i was told to do, THEN TO BE TOLD THERE HAS BEEN AN ERROR BY THEM ETC,you can imagine my disblief and bad feeling at this present time. I have agreed to pay an amount per mounth yet again of which it going to take me best part of 9mths to clear.
But i surpose the best thing that will be happing is i hoplefully will be released once and for all come the 5th Of MAY- IF I WIN THE THE LOTTO THEREAFTER ( I HOPE TO PUT A TICKET ON THAT DAY,AS I HAVE NOT DONE IT FOR A YEAR NOW-LOL CAN'T AFORD IT - LOL )IT WILL BE ALL MINE.
To all those who have helped me Thank you all ever so much LIFE STARTS AGAIN NEXT WEEK-
And if i can't aford it in cash i dont want it- lol
Once again thank you all.£2008 in 2008 member 519 feb 08 sony mp3 player.

Just checked on the insolvency website, and I can confirm that I am now officially discharged. Not sure whether to laugh or cry, but either way its another step up the ladder, onwards and upwards! Now to sort out my credit status.Cheers Dibs
