Flower- well the fitter is coming next Monday (can't believe so soon) to sort out some pipe work and move the radiator and take the old boiler away (only been there 2 years since we first started planning an extension)
I have a man coming on Wednesday to measure up and do some plans but I think that I know pretty much what I need/want. Any suggestions ideas are more than welcome

As a bonus I have realised that it won't really be worth while doing a proper kitchen clean as I won't have it for long so may just have to box up some stuff and do some freezer foods to defrost to try and make my live easier.

May try and sort out my bedroom and move some stuff up there.

Sounds like you have it all in hand - well done and I love the idea of decluttering while you can too, excellent. A kitchen fitter is probably the best person to ask as they know the cupboard sizes, extra bits, etc that you may want, but I would suggest writing a list of all your wants and dislikes so that he can see it - even pull some pics from magazines of kitchens that you like so he can see the style you're after. On the list of stuff you want put things you want to have, maybe something like sink looking out over garden, lots of sockets on the walls, microwave hidden away, you know, anything that YOU want, not necessarily what they THINK you want IYKWIM - if it's written down he can't miss it off can he? :D with the pictures, if you see a style you like, show him, or a special type of cupboard or shelf, sometimes they are easier to show someone than they are to explain...

Sorry I haven't called about the sewing machine, DD has now moved back in with us today and it's been a bit manic sorting all that out this week and being the go-between to be honest - I think that's why I'm tired more than anything else, but hopefully all settling down now, and at least my Mum and DD are talking again... heyho as they say... I'll try to call next week and we'll arrange a time :D

If your insides are tender, you DON'T need coffee! You need hot chocolate ;) ... with cream...

It sounds like you need lots of soothing foods... so you definitely need to have your rhubarb with plenty of cream, yogurt or creme fraiche. If you can stick to less acidic fruits like apples, pears and bananas it might be easier, but have plenty of dairy with them just to be on the safe side! Try to take it easy for a bit (not that you'll pay any attention to me )

I also have a very strict rule about not buying anything - I take food and drink, and only leave my stall to go to the loo (and then only if I have to ;)).

One of the reasons for taking my niece is so that I have someone too look after the stall if I need the loo. :rotfl: I take a pack up, drinks, loo roll, baby wipes, pen & paper (so my niece can keep a running total of what we've earned (lol)). The only reason I bought the drinks was because it was in a local village & the funds were for them & as everyone else was having a drink I felt mean saying 'no thank you' & then getting out my drink. If I'd known how much I was not going to make I wouldn't have bothered (I would really).

    Good luck for tomorrow.

Toots - She probably would really enjoy a shopping trip, happened to buy her some leggings and shorts yesterday. She is so hard to shop for though, she has this odd fear of buttons on clothes like cardigans and trousers (despite her school shirt being buttoned and her getting dressed herself every morning).

Jo (and anyone else with issues with boys at school) you might want to listen to tonights broadcast of Bringing up Britain on R4

I know we've been talking recently about the fact that we have a higher proportion of boys coming into reception next year, and we're going to have to make the teaching more 'boy friendly'.

    Hello everyone!

I did a post earlier & it got eaten  sorry I havn't been around this week, but I have been feeling lousy & spent most of it either at the Dr or hospital..........my cancer support nurse has been a lifeline these last few days........so a 'thumbs up' to the NHS. So on account of no flying I havn't wanted to clog up the thread.

Thanks to Toots, FFP, Jo & Dusty for the kind thoughts & support & a big thanks to those (you know who you are :p) who have been keeping me busy on F/B that has been the limit of my activity this week.....so very important :D

sexy thanks for the text sweetie.........take care of that bruise....I'll be in touch tomorrow, hope to see you soon xx

Mudbath hope your Dad is continuing to improve xx

Love & hugs to you all.........I am reading & trying to keep up with what's going on...welcome to the newbies

    LL xx

Toots... you'll just have to have lots of cream and very little fruit! Apple or pear is probably better for you than strawberries etc. Rhubarb is probably OK if you keep the sugar to a minimum, but you obviously need to deal with the acidity. Sounds like you're going to have to live on lots of rather bland food for a bit... hope it isn't too boring

    L-L (((hugs)))
