Just got in from job number two and wanted to say to everyone for humorous support re the inlaws - lost track of individual posters.

We are having a family BBQ tomm, once I've finished weeding the paving, and providing their wee doggie hasn't crapped everywhere..yes, forgot to mention they come with a Yorkie, which my kitten Screamy delights in stalking/slapping/generally terrorising.

And there's the bathroom to tackle..might ask the OH again, hehe.

Well done igiveup (and welcome :) )

Just popping in to find todays list and see what else I have to do . . .

    Washing - on line
    Work 7.15am-10.15am - done
Sort spare room - waiting for sheets to dry so I can make bed up
Sort computer room - HA! Won't be happening!
Pick up cousin from airport - In half hour
Take him to visit with Aunty - as above
Visit with Uncle at the funeral home - at 3.30
And who knows what will happen after that . . .

Took DS3 shopping this morning to buy shirt for tomorrow. Managed to do it really quickly, and now that's both younger boys sorted.
    OH is washing the car.
Still need to get something sorted for dinner.

All the talk of rhubarb - I've been looking for some all week - can't find any!! Apparently very nice if stewed in lemonade?!?!

Off to get sheets in (nice thick winter ones as cousin is from 'up North' where it's a darn sight warmer than down here at the moment) and make the bed.

    Hi gang:hello:

Well the beginning of the week started well for me with one star.:D But then it all went a bit wrong........again :o However I did manage to clear out the shed to a certain degree this week. Even though it's home to the biggest hairy hunter I have seen for a very long time:eek: AND it all went straight to the tip can you believe:j

Thursday I had a text from Little Bruv. He came over and we went out for the night. I ended up very drunk and in a nightclub that was full of kids. Which made us feel very old. Especially when a young girl guessed Little Bruv's age at 44 :rotfl:
He's only 32 :rotfl:Rolled in at 3.30 in the morning and if I'm honest. I have only just recovered this morning:eek: Pub fit is something I am not. But we had a fantastic time:j:T I tell ya. A night out with my brother is better than any anti depressant on the market. If he could bottle the feel good factor he somehow makes you feel . He'd be worth a fortune.

So loads of flying to be done here. But today I am only going to potter if I feel like it. But I will be back on the wagon properly from tomorrow;)

I have no idea what's been going on for everyone on the thread this week. But hugs where needed and I'll catch you all later tonight. TTFN xx

    Morning everyone

    Welcome new people

LL - big hugs for you
Justamum - get well soon vibes heading off to your MIL.

The morning started promisingly with sunshine, but it's now clouded over a bit. I have decided that today will be mostly a day off (apart from roast dinner of course!) for me. I'm going to get stuck into my book research. (To me, that is a day off!)

    Morning ladies

Pleased to report that there was no hangover yesterday morning and we were away and on the train at 0845.

Had a good day in London for OH's distant family get together. Its was beautiful sunshine all day and the place we were at was right on the Thames near Canary Wharf so it was lovely. The day was interesting but a bit boring in parts butmore of the grape juice soon sorted that out!

By the time we came home OH had wanted to go out for dinner but I couldnt be bothered so crashed watching a film on the sofa.

Woke this morning at 6 and it was bright blue skies but by the time I got up at 7 it was and still is grey (almost grey enough for rain) which is disappointing as I wanted to declutter the front jungle and tidy it up a bit.

Now not sure what to do so having a quick skip through fred then bit of food shopping me thinks.

igiveup - welcome and dont give up we're all here in the same boat and sometimes we have good days and sometimes we have bad, but something done is better than nothing
doelani - welcome, hope you enjoy it here and remember you dont have to do it all at once
ladyliberty - hope you are coping, i'm sorry I must have missed your post with the results of your tests. huge hugs to you
justamum - positive vibes and prayers for your MIL
SS - hope you feel better soon
I know there are lots more posts I should have replied to individually so apologies and hugs to those who need them.
Right I must go get on as I need a quick shower then I need to be out by 10
    See ya later
